We were blessed with some lovely Spring weather this past weekend and we decided to take advantage of it!
I was up bright and early on Saturday to get some fabrics for a client.
Our main fabric was a splurge so I needed some budget friendly solids. My favorite pick is broadcloth because it comes in so many colors and it’s so inexpensive. I use it for piping all of the time.
I also made some cookies with the boys back at home. I have started going really semi-homemade with my meals, because this lady just doesn’t have that much free time anymore. So I used Ghirardelli Chocolate chip cookie mix and added 1/2 cup of peanut butter and 1 cup of mini M&M’s to customize them a bit and make them more homemade.
Then we headed into Brooklyn to meet up with some friends. Of course I had to take a selfie to document a good hair day. 🙂
Ash was super excited to have pizza for lunch!
After our playdate with friends we ended up at Sweethaus, one of my favorite bakeries! I love their chocolate coconut cupcakes. To die for!
It was a fun sugar filled day! We enjoy the rest of the day at home playing with the boys and getting some house work done.
On Sunday we were out bright and early again! It’s so easy to do that when we have two little alarm clocks that are moving at 7am. We went to another friends house for a breakfast playdate and we were lucky enough to try some rainbow bagels and funfetti cream cheese. Yum!
The rest of my day was spent in a super secret Maid of Honor meeting with my Co-Maid of Honor sister. We had lots to get through and had lots of little interruptions but we got a lot done! Can’t wait to share it all with you, but since the Bride reads this blog it will have to wait for a bit.
It was a busy weekend and I’m exhausted, but at least it ended on a sweet note! Spread the word, Trader Joes carries mini churros! I, of course had to dip them in Nutella.

My living room is one of the rooms that evolved drastically from when we first moved one. Originally I painted the walls chocolate brown and did accents of white, blue and orange. That lasted maybe 2 years.
Our dining room sat empty for months. Okay maybe it was empty for just a handful of weeks and then we couldn’t take it anymore and put in a folding table and plastic outdoor chairs, but in my mind that was still empty.
On the main floor of our house we have a Florida room. Being that it’s a Florida room it is a considered a 3 season room, because there is no heat in the room. The previous owners used it as an indoor patio with outdoor furniture and it looked like this when we moved in.
In our new home, the basement was completely unfinished. It was literally one of those dark spaces that you see in horror movies and are terrified of getting locked into. However, with the square footage in this house, I knew I needed to make the basement another workable and liveable floor of the house instead […]
The time has come to finally share our new kitchen reveal. For those of you that have been with us from the beginning, we bought a house right before the pandemic hit. It was a total gut job from top to bottom. We started our demo and then the world shut down. Enter the delays […]
Picking out paint colors for a new home can be overwhelming. I find that many times when I meet with a new client the entire house is simply just painted white or a light gray. Now, I think there is a time and place for those colors, but with paint, there is just so much […]
What to look for when it comes to picking out kitchen appliances: Leave room in your budget for appliances. When it comes to kitchen renovations everyone knows that the cabinetry and the labor of demoing and installing cabinetry is going to eat a lot of your budget. However, the second most expensive part of a […]
I don’t think I’m alone in thinking that designing a kitchen is an overwhelming undertaking. I’m an interior designer and even I find it stressful to iron out all of those details. So, when it comes time to design a kitchen I always like to partner with a kitchen designer to make sure I’m remembering […]
