Another weekend that has gone past way too quickly. Here is what we were up to:
As I mentioned last week I’m in charge of decor for a fundraising gala that the parenting co-op I’m part of is hosting this Friday. So, I need to make sure I had all my ducks in a row this weekend. Here is my sampling of 1920’s inspired decor for the tables.
I also spent an obscene amount of time this weekend playing around with the pretty filter on snapchat. If you aren’t using it yet you must simply for this filter. Ah. I wish I could walk around with it all day. You can follow me at Camila Pavone.
In between playing with snapchat filters I ran some errands picking up goodies for my easter tablescape. Found these adorable products at JOANNs.
I also took a little peek at the home section of Burlington Coat Factory and found some cool items. I was loving this glass box:
Also loved these faux marble lamps. They were only $24.99! Ah! I should have bought them.
Then we ventured off to the boat show. Jon wanted to see what was out there and the boys love going on boats so we knew they would enjoy it.
Look at this little captain. The boys loved it. Jon loved it. Me, not so much. I kept thinking this must be what it’s like for Jon when I make him watch a Bravo show with me. Also a bit stressful as a mom to have the boys running in and out of boats with lots of people and pricey boats.
I ended the day doing some shopping with my sister. She was picking up items for her upcoming wedding activities and I was wandering around the home section. Nordstrom racks had such cute finds. My favorite was this Owl plate.
On Sunday we took the boys to Ralph’s, which is a super popular Italian ice shop in the NY area. They are seasonal and Hudson has been asking all winter if they are open. I tried out their key lime pie ice and it was delicious!
I also got to hang out with my sisters and mom while my sister did a make up trial at Sephora!
Not sure if her look is a surprise so I won’t include a pic of the final product just in case!
It was a fun weekend full of a little bit of everything!

My living room is one of the rooms that evolved drastically from when we first moved one. Originally I painted the walls chocolate brown and did accents of white, blue and orange. That lasted maybe 2 years.
Our dining room sat empty for months. Okay maybe it was empty for just a handful of weeks and then we couldn’t take it anymore and put in a folding table and plastic outdoor chairs, but in my mind that was still empty.
On the main floor of our house we have a Florida room. Being that it’s a Florida room it is a considered a 3 season room, because there is no heat in the room. The previous owners used it as an indoor patio with outdoor furniture and it looked like this when we moved in.
In our new home, the basement was completely unfinished. It was literally one of those dark spaces that you see in horror movies and are terrified of getting locked into. However, with the square footage in this house, I knew I needed to make the basement another workable and liveable floor of the house instead […]
The time has come to finally share our new kitchen reveal. For those of you that have been with us from the beginning, we bought a house right before the pandemic hit. It was a total gut job from top to bottom. We started our demo and then the world shut down. Enter the delays […]
Picking out paint colors for a new home can be overwhelming. I find that many times when I meet with a new client the entire house is simply just painted white or a light gray. Now, I think there is a time and place for those colors, but with paint, there is just so much […]
What to look for when it comes to picking out kitchen appliances: Leave room in your budget for appliances. When it comes to kitchen renovations everyone knows that the cabinetry and the labor of demoing and installing cabinetry is going to eat a lot of your budget. However, the second most expensive part of a […]
I don’t think I’m alone in thinking that designing a kitchen is an overwhelming undertaking. I’m an interior designer and even I find it stressful to iron out all of those details. So, when it comes time to design a kitchen I always like to partner with a kitchen designer to make sure I’m remembering […]
Oh, those marble lamps are a great find! And so with you – I wish I could walk around in that snap filter every day.
