This past weekend I was in the Catskills celebrating my sister’s bachelorette party. My youngest sister and I were both in charge of planning the weekend and I must say it was a hit! Since we were staying in the Catskills we wanted to go with a wilderness theme. Our favorite movie growing up and if I’m honest it’s still one of my favorites as an adult is Troop Beverly Hills. I love Shelly Long! So, in honor of our love for that movie we went all out with a Troop Catskill theme.
Check out the adorable welcome bags we made for the group:
I while back we ordered T-shirts from Custom Ink for Hudson’s school. I loved the look and feel of them so I decided to use them for the totes. They came out perfect and are nice and sturdy. They look so professional! People thought we bought them from a store and didn’t realize we designed them ourselves.
Then we got to fill our bag up with all sorts of goodies!
I picked up canteens and camo bandanas to stay in theme. Then I added show stopping knee high socks from Customized Girl. I loved the old school look they added to the mix. You can pick from an array of colors for the stripes and then upload your own design. Love customizing everything so this was a score for me! We also added hangover kits that our favorite bridesmaid, Maura, put together for us.
We added custom v-neck t-shirts to the mix as well. We were hosting a slumber party on Friday evening and then a private yoga lesson on Saturday morning so we thought the shirt would be perfect for that.
My absolute favorite addition to the welcome tote is the personalized nail polish bottles from Pretty Please Nail Polish. Who wouldn’t want to name their own nail polish bottle! Since we were going with a Troop Beverly Hills theme I had to go with a quote from the movie!
Along with getting to name your polish you can also pick out whatever pretty shade you like. I went with metallic gold.
I gave myself a manicure with it and loved the actual polish. It coated really well, dried fast and hasn’t chipped! I will be ordering so much more from them!
Stay tuned tomorrow for pictures of where we stayed and what we did!
My living room is one of the rooms that evolved drastically from when we first moved one. Originally I painted the walls chocolate brown and did accents of white, blue and orange. That lasted maybe 2 years.
Our dining room sat empty for months. Okay maybe it was empty for just a handful of weeks and then we couldn’t take it anymore and put in a folding table and plastic outdoor chairs, but in my mind that was still empty.
On the main floor of our house we have a Florida room. Being that it’s a Florida room it is a considered a 3 season room, because there is no heat in the room. The previous owners used it as an indoor patio with outdoor furniture and it looked like this when we moved in.
In our new home, the basement was completely unfinished. It was literally one of those dark spaces that you see in horror movies and are terrified of getting locked into. However, with the square footage in this house, I knew I needed to make the basement another workable and liveable floor of the house instead […]
What to look for when it comes to picking out kitchen appliances: Leave room in your budget for appliances. When it comes to kitchen renovations everyone knows that the cabinetry and the labor of demoing and installing cabinetry is going to eat a lot of your budget. However, the second most expensive part of a […]
I don’t think I’m alone in thinking that designing a kitchen is an overwhelming undertaking. I’m an interior designer and even I find it stressful to iron out all of those details. So, when it comes time to design a kitchen I always like to partner with a kitchen designer to make sure I’m remembering […]
Aw, what a fun idea. That sounds like it was a blast. These are the memories that will always bring a smile to all of your hearts.
This is a great idea! I am also planning a weekend for my best friends bachelorette party. I am definitely going to take some of your ideas. So glad you shared!
