This weekend felt like the longest weekend ever, but not in the best way. Asher has decided that the terrible twos should start a bit earlier with him. So, the weekend was filled with lots of meltdowns and tears and more tears.
We did manage get to get a couple of things done this weekend. We figured since Asher was already crying that we might as well take the boys for a haircut, because we normally get tears there anyway. Afterwards we popped into a Dollar Tree so, that the boys could get a treat for behaving well during their haircut.
Check out some of the cute finds I spied. Colorful bottles that would make adorable decor for a summer party.
I also picked up this cute eyeglass pouch. Love the sketch like designs on it.
I also picked up fun flamingo patterned napkins and cups.
Last find that I’ve now been fighting the boys over are these pom pom pens. I keep finding them stealing them from my office.
Then we went out to enjoy the pretty day. It was really sunny out on Sunday, which was lovely, but it was still super cold. Hudson wanted to go on a walk so we went to a nearby town and had some lunch and then popped into a comic book store.
These little guys were the only actually kids in the shop. It was full of 30 something guys.
One of my favorites from when I was little. I use to always pick up a new one when I would go food shopping with my parents.
Our little walk ended on a sweet note and we popped into Ralph’s to get some Italian ices. I went with their key lime pie flavor and it was amazing!
While the weekend was filled with lots of tantrums we survived! Ah toddlerhood.

My living room is one of the rooms that evolved drastically from when we first moved one. Originally I painted the walls chocolate brown and did accents of white, blue and orange. That lasted maybe 2 years.
Our dining room sat empty for months. Okay maybe it was empty for just a handful of weeks and then we couldn’t take it anymore and put in a folding table and plastic outdoor chairs, but in my mind that was still empty.
On the main floor of our house we have a Florida room. Being that it’s a Florida room it is a considered a 3 season room, because there is no heat in the room. The previous owners used it as an indoor patio with outdoor furniture and it looked like this when we moved in.
In our new home, the basement was completely unfinished. It was literally one of those dark spaces that you see in horror movies and are terrified of getting locked into. However, with the square footage in this house, I knew I needed to make the basement another workable and liveable floor of the house instead […]
The time has come to finally share our new kitchen reveal. For those of you that have been with us from the beginning, we bought a house right before the pandemic hit. It was a total gut job from top to bottom. We started our demo and then the world shut down. Enter the delays […]
Picking out paint colors for a new home can be overwhelming. I find that many times when I meet with a new client the entire house is simply just painted white or a light gray. Now, I think there is a time and place for those colors, but with paint, there is just so much […]
What to look for when it comes to picking out kitchen appliances: Leave room in your budget for appliances. When it comes to kitchen renovations everyone knows that the cabinetry and the labor of demoing and installing cabinetry is going to eat a lot of your budget. However, the second most expensive part of a […]
I don’t think I’m alone in thinking that designing a kitchen is an overwhelming undertaking. I’m an interior designer and even I find it stressful to iron out all of those details. So, when it comes time to design a kitchen I always like to partner with a kitchen designer to make sure I’m remembering […]
