This fun DIY is right on time for all of those fun end of summer bashes you are going to! Actually you could use a floral crown during any season so perhaps the floral crown season has just begun!
I’m not going to lie when I first started making the floral crown it wasn’t effortless at all! I had a huge mess in my office and I made it way too heavy, but I was finally able to figure out a way to make it work.
You will need:
Floral wire
Floral tape
Scissors
Wire cutter
Flowers!
Step 1: Use the floral wire to make your base for your floral crown. Use your head for the perfect fit. Simply wrap the wire around your head where you want the crown to sit and then twist it close.
Step 2: Cut your flowers to size and start attaching to one side with the floral tape. The floral tape is a little funny, because it doesn’t feel very sticky, but if you wind it up it really does the job of keeping the flower in place.
Now at first I tried to get all of my flowers in the front. Let me tell it looked amazing off my head, but once I placed it on my head it was larger than I wanted which made it heavy! Plus it was super hard to get the flowers facing the front! So, it was back to the drawing board!
Step 3: Instead of filling the crown place with a ton of flowers just concentrate on one side. I would stick to around 3 blooms and some greenery. You just need to play around with the layout and decide what you like best and then tape each flower one at a time.
Step 4: When you are done wrap the rest of the wire in floral tape.

My living room is one of the rooms that evolved drastically from when we first moved one. Originally I painted the walls chocolate brown and did accents of white, blue and orange. That lasted maybe 2 years.
Our dining room sat empty for months. Okay maybe it was empty for just a handful of weeks and then we couldn’t take it anymore and put in a folding table and plastic outdoor chairs, but in my mind that was still empty.
On the main floor of our house we have a Florida room. Being that it’s a Florida room it is a considered a 3 season room, because there is no heat in the room. The previous owners used it as an indoor patio with outdoor furniture and it looked like this when we moved in.
Fall is the perfect season to host an outdoor movie night in your backyard! It’s that time of year when outdoor furniture is still outside and it gets dark earlier than the summer which means your little kiddos can enjoy the movie night as well. It’s so nice to transform your backyard with cozy blankets, […]
Can you believe it’s already November? Before we know it Thanks No. 1 Modern bar cart with patterned sides that looks great as is, but would also look amazing painted a pop of color! Plus it’s only $157. No. 2 This lucite bar cart is a personal favorite of mine. Look at those chic lines! […]
For the longest time our backyard was mainly just grass and a little small area where we laid down some pavers so that we could set out a little plastic table/chairs during the summer. Not exactly ideal for entertaining. For the past couple of years we have wanted to build a deck and enjoy the […]
I spot a new trend. Love the dress/flower combo.
