We made it another week! Enter high five emoji here! With Hudson having two days off from school it was an interesting week, but all went well! I took the boys out on errands, to the city, to the playground and didn’t have to raise my voice at any time. It was magical!
Here is what caught my eye this week:
-The work of designer Helen Davis. Isn’t this kids room amazing? Love the color combo, love the wallpaper, love the cute artwork and love that the ceiling is blue. Make sure you follow her on instagram.
-I frequently go into Nordstrom Rack, but I never really look on their website! Guys, I have been missing out! So, many amazing finds! Hello fit and flare dress with a pleather hem! Already added it to my cart! Also added these cute pumps that are perfect for fall and check out the heel detailing!
-I’m already thinking about Christmas! Ah! Sorry! Blame the Today show they told there were around 70 days left until the big day! One of my favorite gifts that I received is a photo mug. I know it may sound cheesy and like something you wouldn’t really use it, but the ones at Shutterfly are so cute and currently an extra 40% off with the code LUCKYU. I love the gold handle ones! I literally use mine on a daily basis for my cup of tea! Thanks Aunt JoJo!
-Chicest throw ever! Wow, that’s quite a statement, but I’m serious. The gray colorway is an awesome neutral, but lets face it I love the orange version. Also love the slight pattern to it, that it’s oversized and it can be monogrammed! Currently on sale for $19! Hurry and stock up!
-I love nuLOOM rugs! I used one in my laundry room reveal and I get compliments on it all of the time. Obsessed with this new pattern. Love the color combo!

My living room is one of the rooms that evolved drastically from when we first moved one. Originally I painted the walls chocolate brown and did accents of white, blue and orange. That lasted maybe 2 years.
Our dining room sat empty for months. Okay maybe it was empty for just a handful of weeks and then we couldn’t take it anymore and put in a folding table and plastic outdoor chairs, but in my mind that was still empty.
On the main floor of our house we have a Florida room. Being that it’s a Florida room it is a considered a 3 season room, because there is no heat in the room. The previous owners used it as an indoor patio with outdoor furniture and it looked like this when we moved in.
In our new home, the basement was completely unfinished. It was literally one of those dark spaces that you see in horror movies and are terrified of getting locked into. However, with the square footage in this house, I knew I needed to make the basement another workable and liveable floor of the house instead […]
The time has come to finally share our new kitchen reveal. For those of you that have been with us from the beginning, we bought a house right before the pandemic hit. It was a total gut job from top to bottom. We started our demo and then the world shut down. Enter the delays […]
Picking out paint colors for a new home can be overwhelming. I find that many times when I meet with a new client the entire house is simply just painted white or a light gray. Now, I think there is a time and place for those colors, but with paint, there is just so much […]
What to look for when it comes to picking out kitchen appliances: Leave room in your budget for appliances. When it comes to kitchen renovations everyone knows that the cabinetry and the labor of demoing and installing cabinetry is going to eat a lot of your budget. However, the second most expensive part of a […]
I don’t think I’m alone in thinking that designing a kitchen is an overwhelming undertaking. I’m an interior designer and even I find it stressful to iron out all of those details. So, when it comes time to design a kitchen I always like to partner with a kitchen designer to make sure I’m remembering […]
