Every year when people ask me what I want for Christmas I always say nothing. I never want people to stress about a gift for me. But this year as I’ve been gathering items from gift guides I’m wanting everything! I have found so many good gifts and I can’t wait to continue to share all of my finds. If people ask me this year what I want I will have a list a mile long. Haha. I’ve already shared my best friend gift guide and today I’m tackling a hostess gift guide. I always love to show up empty handed. Most times people bring a bottle of wine or some sort of dessert, but if you want to step things up a little bit this guide is for you.
No. 1 If you really want to bring something food related I would go with something special and different. Loving these Christmas light chocolates. They look too pretty to eat! Almost! I totally want to dig in and have a bulb or two.
No. 2 Did you know that pineapples symbolize warmth, friendship and welcoming? Anything pineapple related is always a great hostess gift. Love this golden pineapple jar that would work great on a bookcase, console table or remove the top and use it as a vase!
No. 3 Paper Source always has the cutest kitchen towels during all of the holidays. I always pick up a set during the Christmas season. I have already spied these fa la la towels and they would make for a great hostess gift. They also work perfectly with the color on my painted floors.
No. 4 I love a good bar cart and every bar cart needs beautiful bar accessories. I love this malachite ice bucket. Looking for something a bit more neutral? Love this bucket.
No. 5 Love the idea of pairing this white and cooper bottle opener with some craft beer as a different take on bringing wine.
No. 6 Who doesn’t like a fancy drink? Add some fancy and whimsy to your drink with these stirrers. These would look so cute wrapped up in some pretty ribbon and you are ready to go.
No. 7 Bringing flowers? Why don’t you pair it with this vase. I love that it comes with 19 openings which will make any floral newbie look like a pro! So easy to arrange your new fresh blooms.
No. 8 Like the idea of something green, but don’t like that flowers die so quickly? Why don’t you pick up a boxwood topiary for your hostess. All you need to do is lightly mist it once a month.
No. 9 I recently got a spoon rest and while I never thought it was something I needed I actually use it all of the time. How adorable is this elephant spoon rest. You know I love elephants because they are a sign of good luck and I think they make great gift.
No. 10 I sadly do not have marble counter tops in my kitchen, but they are my dream. I can get a little dose of it with this marble and copper cutting board. Such a great piece point and something your hostess would use all of the time.
No. 11 Put a monogram on it and I’m in heaven. Loving thesebrass alphabet coasters. I have never seen anything like them before so I love how unique they are and a set of 4 would perfect for any hostess.
Hope this gift guide helps give you some inspiration for the holidays! Happy Shopping! More gift guides to come!
My living room is one of the rooms that evolved drastically from when we first moved one. Originally I painted the walls chocolate brown and did accents of white, blue and orange. That lasted maybe 2 years.
Our dining room sat empty for months. Okay maybe it was empty for just a handful of weeks and then we couldn’t take it anymore and put in a folding table and plastic outdoor chairs, but in my mind that was still empty.
On the main floor of our house we have a Florida room. Being that it’s a Florida room it is a considered a 3 season room, because there is no heat in the room. The previous owners used it as an indoor patio with outdoor furniture and it looked like this when we moved in.
In our new home, the basement was completely unfinished. It was literally one of those dark spaces that you see in horror movies and are terrified of getting locked into. However, with the square footage in this house, I knew I needed to make the basement another workable and liveable floor of the house instead […]
What to look for when it comes to picking out kitchen appliances: Leave room in your budget for appliances. When it comes to kitchen renovations everyone knows that the cabinetry and the labor of demoing and installing cabinetry is going to eat a lot of your budget. However, the second most expensive part of a […]
I don’t think I’m alone in thinking that designing a kitchen is an overwhelming undertaking. I’m an interior designer and even I find it stressful to iron out all of those details. So, when it comes time to design a kitchen I always like to partner with a kitchen designer to make sure I’m remembering […]
