Ah! How amazing are 4 day weekends! If you celebrate Thanksgiving I hope you had a lovely holiday with your friends and family! We were lucky enough to attend two Thanksgiving day celebrations on the big day and enjoyed seeing both sets of grandparents and aunts and uncles.
I helped set the table at my parents house and I fell in love with these fancy tulips from Trader Joe’s that I used in my arrangement.
On Friday I only had one thing in mind….GILMORE GIRLS! So, I ditched all of the men in my life and went over to my parents house and lounged on their sofa and watched all 4 episodes and ate lots of pie. It’s pretty much as amazing as it sounds!
On Saturday we were up bright and early! So, we headed off to Life Time where the boys got to show off their new swimming skills! They have only had one class so far, but adding that to what we have already done with them and they are swimming little fish. Asher can only swim if he goes underwater so, we picked up some googles for the both of them.
It’s become a nice weekend routine. They are super excited to head to Life Time and know exactly how to get to the family locker room. The family locker room is amazing because both Jon and I can be in there instead of Jon having to tackle them by himself in the men’s room. They have these cool shower rooms where there is a dressing area and the shower area so getting dressed/undressed and showered is a breeze!
I hope you are best friends forever. They are just such cute brothers. They adore each other!
After the pool we also hit Target. A lot of their Black Friday deals were still going on and the store was pretty manageable. I was able to stock up on shoes for the boys and a bunch of clothes for me, because it was all 30% off and then an extra 15% off with cartwheel! Amazing! I love getting a good deal!
My sisters ended up finding a fun sweater for an ugly sweater party they are attending in a couple of weeks.
I spent the rest of Saturday getting the house Christmas ready! Out came my vintage ornaments.
I also took out my new Christmas stocking and pom pom trim that I picked up from Furbish during their after Christmas sale last year.
Along with some colorful garland for the tree.
New ornaments that the boys and I picked up at Michaels also made an appearance.
My entry way mirror got a little festive as well:
Can’t wait to finish everything up and do a little Holiday tour of the house.
On Sunday I went into the city to install a gallery wall full of warrior girl prints from Maren Devine Art. She is actually hosting a sale today and all prints are 15% off with code INSTA15.
I can’t wait for you to see the reveal! Editing photos this week!

My living room is one of the rooms that evolved drastically from when we first moved one. Originally I painted the walls chocolate brown and did accents of white, blue and orange. That lasted maybe 2 years.
Our dining room sat empty for months. Okay maybe it was empty for just a handful of weeks and then we couldn’t take it anymore and put in a folding table and plastic outdoor chairs, but in my mind that was still empty.
On the main floor of our house we have a Florida room. Being that it’s a Florida room it is a considered a 3 season room, because there is no heat in the room. The previous owners used it as an indoor patio with outdoor furniture and it looked like this when we moved in.
In our new home, the basement was completely unfinished. It was literally one of those dark spaces that you see in horror movies and are terrified of getting locked into. However, with the square footage in this house, I knew I needed to make the basement another workable and liveable floor of the house instead […]
What to look for when it comes to picking out kitchen appliances: Leave room in your budget for appliances. When it comes to kitchen renovations everyone knows that the cabinetry and the labor of demoing and installing cabinetry is going to eat a lot of your budget. However, the second most expensive part of a […]
I don’t think I’m alone in thinking that designing a kitchen is an overwhelming undertaking. I’m an interior designer and even I find it stressful to iron out all of those details. So, when it comes time to design a kitchen I always like to partner with a kitchen designer to make sure I’m remembering […]
