I love any excuse to pick up a new outfit and with Thanksgiving next week I rounded up some of my favorite outfit picks!
This fall I’m all about black, muted greens, caramel and cranberry! Can you tell I’m hungry. 🙂 For Thanksgiving I’m all about looking nice, but also being comfy. I want to feel like I’m wearing leggings. You know I will lounging on my parents sofa after the main meal and binge watching Gilmore Girls in preparation for the new four 90 min episodes that are set to be released on Nov 25th at midnight (PST) ! I’m dying! If Stars Hallow was a real place I would totally live there. Ok, I digress back to the outfits!
No. 1 Love everything about this oversized mockneck dress! Love the classic black color, love the lace detailing and love that it’s roomy yet chic! Bring on the desserts!
No. 2 This shirred dress by Michael Star is another favorite! You know if it’s Michael Star it’s going to be super cozy and soft. Plus hello shirred detailing that will hide any expanding tummy full of turkey!
No. 3 I have a soft spot for paisley and this dress has the prettiest paisleys in it which caught my eye right away. I love the boho chic vibe and I would add my green cargo jacket to finish off the look.
No. 4 I’m all about the turtleneck this season, but I have yet to pick one up. I really love the look of this dress. The mock turtleneck will give me the look of the turtleneck I like without going too extreme.
No. 5 Love the wildflowers all over this dress. It looks sweet and classic for Thanksgiving. I would add some bold colored tights and little booties and off to dinner I go!
No. 6 This dress is soft and cozy and swings when you love. Love the little swing detailing which really helps the dress go from drab paper bag to totally chic. I would need to try this dress out in person, because sometimes this style isn’t flattering on me, but it’s probably a win for a lot of women.

My living room is one of the rooms that evolved drastically from when we first moved one. Originally I painted the walls chocolate brown and did accents of white, blue and orange. That lasted maybe 2 years.
Our dining room sat empty for months. Okay maybe it was empty for just a handful of weeks and then we couldn’t take it anymore and put in a folding table and plastic outdoor chairs, but in my mind that was still empty.
On the main floor of our house we have a Florida room. Being that it’s a Florida room it is a considered a 3 season room, because there is no heat in the room. The previous owners used it as an indoor patio with outdoor furniture and it looked like this when we moved in.
In our new home, the basement was completely unfinished. It was literally one of those dark spaces that you see in horror movies and are terrified of getting locked into. However, with the square footage in this house, I knew I needed to make the basement another workable and liveable floor of the house instead […]
The time has come to finally share our new kitchen reveal. For those of you that have been with us from the beginning, we bought a house right before the pandemic hit. It was a total gut job from top to bottom. We started our demo and then the world shut down. Enter the delays […]
Picking out paint colors for a new home can be overwhelming. I find that many times when I meet with a new client the entire house is simply just painted white or a light gray. Now, I think there is a time and place for those colors, but with paint, there is just so much […]
What to look for when it comes to picking out kitchen appliances: Leave room in your budget for appliances. When it comes to kitchen renovations everyone knows that the cabinetry and the labor of demoing and installing cabinetry is going to eat a lot of your budget. However, the second most expensive part of a […]
I don’t think I’m alone in thinking that designing a kitchen is an overwhelming undertaking. I’m an interior designer and even I find it stressful to iron out all of those details. So, when it comes time to design a kitchen I always like to partner with a kitchen designer to make sure I’m remembering […]
