Treat Yo Self: Cozy Fall Essentials
I’m not sure what is going on with the weather in NY, because one day I’m boiling and wishing I had put on shorts instead of pants and then other days I’m wrapped in a blanket the entire day because it’s oh so cold out! I love Fall so I’m hoping the chilly days are here to stay!
I’ve rounded up some of my favorite cozy fall essentials that I’m itching to treat myself to, but since the holidays are coming up they are also great gift ideas!
No.1 Like you already know I’m not into decorating specifically for the holidays inside my home. My home is really colorful and adding a bunch of red and green for Christmas just won’t work for me. So, I like the idea of switching out some accessories and making things look a little bit more Fall/Winter appropriate. How adorable is this faux deer print pillow? I love it’s neutral colorway, but it still has some warmth to it in the color and texture! It would be a win in my house. My guys are all about soft and cozy pillows.
No.2 I love a hot beverage. Typically I’m a tea drinker, but when I’m tired I’m all about a trip to Starbucks for some coffee. When I want to feel festive and in the season of everything warm and cozy then I’m all about some hot chocolate. I quickly ordered these hot chocolate spoons by famed restaurant Freds at Barneys. Just add 8 oz of warm milk and voila delicious hot chocolate.
No.3 My name is Camila and I have a mug addiction. I find a cute mug and I must have it! It’s always an easy purchase for me to convince myself that it’s a must have, because I typically only buy one and the price point is usually less than $10. No.4 I should also start this by saying I have a pretty big addiction to plaid. I’m a bit preppy in my fashion style and plaid just screams New England prepster and it’s a must have in my book. ON THE BLOG
My living room is one of the rooms that evolved drastically from when we first moved one. Originally I painted the walls chocolate brown and did accents of white, blue and orange. That lasted maybe 2 years.
Our dining room sat empty for months. Okay maybe it was empty for just a handful of weeks and then we couldn’t take it anymore and put in a folding table and plastic outdoor chairs, but in my mind that was still empty.
On the main floor of our house we have a Florida room. Being that it’s a Florida room it is a considered a 3 season room, because there is no heat in the room. The previous owners used it as an indoor patio with outdoor furniture and it looked like this when we moved in.
