Last year I hosted my first ever, Holiday Cookie Exchange. I loved it so much that decided to make it an annual tradition. This year I decided to add a couple more guests and have everyone that attended the 1st one bring their momma!
I welcomed all of my guests in my delicious gingerbread dress. When I spotted this dress during cyber Monday madness I knew I needed to get it for the cookie exchange party. Isn’t it perfect? I mean when else are you going to get to dress up like a cookie! One must just go for it!
I was able to get my good friend, Stefanie from Love Notes Paperie to design the holiday cookie exchange invitation, recipe card and cookie ballot! It’s amazing to have such talented friends! I met Stefanie at a Rising Tide Society tuesday together meeting and I fell in love with her sweet nature and amazing sense of style. She typically designs wedding inviting suites, but has ventured into designing invitations of all sorts! I adore all of the paper goodies she designed for me and highly recommend her!
This time around I went with a colorful and happy Christmas vibe and paired a light blush tablecloth with a bold kelly green table runner and white mini tree accents!
I used all of my white serving platters and cake stands for cookie display purposes.
The big winner was for best tasting cookie! Along with this sweet trophy they received a $50 TJ MAXX gift card!

My living room is one of the rooms that evolved drastically from when we first moved one. Originally I painted the walls chocolate brown and did accents of white, blue and orange. That lasted maybe 2 years.
Our dining room sat empty for months. Okay maybe it was empty for just a handful of weeks and then we couldn’t take it anymore and put in a folding table and plastic outdoor chairs, but in my mind that was still empty.
On the main floor of our house we have a Florida room. Being that it’s a Florida room it is a considered a 3 season room, because there is no heat in the room. The previous owners used it as an indoor patio with outdoor furniture and it looked like this when we moved in.
In our new home, the basement was completely unfinished. It was literally one of those dark spaces that you see in horror movies and are terrified of getting locked into. However, with the square footage in this house, I knew I needed to make the basement another workable and liveable floor of the house instead […]
The time has come to finally share our new kitchen reveal. For those of you that have been with us from the beginning, we bought a house right before the pandemic hit. It was a total gut job from top to bottom. We started our demo and then the world shut down. Enter the delays […]
Picking out paint colors for a new home can be overwhelming. I find that many times when I meet with a new client the entire house is simply just painted white or a light gray. Now, I think there is a time and place for those colors, but with paint, there is just so much […]
What to look for when it comes to picking out kitchen appliances: Leave room in your budget for appliances. When it comes to kitchen renovations everyone knows that the cabinetry and the labor of demoing and installing cabinetry is going to eat a lot of your budget. However, the second most expensive part of a […]
I don’t think I’m alone in thinking that designing a kitchen is an overwhelming undertaking. I’m an interior designer and even I find it stressful to iron out all of those details. So, when it comes time to design a kitchen I always like to partner with a kitchen designer to make sure I’m remembering […]
