As I type there is snow falling on the ground and it looks like next week has even more snow in the forecast. In my head though I’m already in Spring! Yesterday it was 70 degrees out and it was delightful! So, let’s get forget about the snow and pretend it’s Spring outside.
Here is what caught my eye this week:
-Last Friday I shared a photo of this clutch on instagram, but never linked to it! Whoops! I just had to share it because it’s so adorable. It’s actually a cosmetic bag, but it’s the perfect size to be a clutch so, that’s what I used it for! Loved the tassel zipper pull and I think I’m going get it monogrammed and really make a statement with it. They also have it in a navy stripe which is equally adorable. I’m obsessed and it’s at a great price point!
-Are these not the most perfect shoes for the upcoming warm weather? I love the heel, the stripes, and that knot detailing in the front. I need them!
-I’m pretty smitten with this top. I love the bell sleeves. It’s not too intense so I think I can actually pull it up and I love the eyelet detailing. It comes in 3 colors and the only reason I haven’t ordered it yet is because I can’t decide on a color. I’m in love with all of them. They are currently 40% off so I might treat myself to two!
-Chip and JoJo Gaines are on fire. It’s so crazy that a blog turned into a TV show that turned into an obsession for people and a bed and breakfast and the amazing silos and now Joanna even has a line available at Pier 1. It looks beautiful and if this snow day allows it I will try to go out and check it out in person today!
-Lately when I’m working I feel like I have a million tabs open in my brain. I’m trying to jam a lot of work into the hours that I have help with the boys. So typically when I’m writing one email I’m reminded of something else I need to do, etc. Which means I start jotting down notes on random pieces of paper and it’s a mess! I’m going to order this keyboard planner. It looks so pretty that I think it will make me neater and it’s nice to have it right by my workspace so I can easily check things off my to do list.

My living room is one of the rooms that evolved drastically from when we first moved one. Originally I painted the walls chocolate brown and did accents of white, blue and orange. That lasted maybe 2 years.
Our dining room sat empty for months. Okay maybe it was empty for just a handful of weeks and then we couldn’t take it anymore and put in a folding table and plastic outdoor chairs, but in my mind that was still empty.
On the main floor of our house we have a Florida room. Being that it’s a Florida room it is a considered a 3 season room, because there is no heat in the room. The previous owners used it as an indoor patio with outdoor furniture and it looked like this when we moved in.
In our new home, the basement was completely unfinished. It was literally one of those dark spaces that you see in horror movies and are terrified of getting locked into. However, with the square footage in this house, I knew I needed to make the basement another workable and liveable floor of the house instead […]
The time has come to finally share our new kitchen reveal. For those of you that have been with us from the beginning, we bought a house right before the pandemic hit. It was a total gut job from top to bottom. We started our demo and then the world shut down. Enter the delays […]
Picking out paint colors for a new home can be overwhelming. I find that many times when I meet with a new client the entire house is simply just painted white or a light gray. Now, I think there is a time and place for those colors, but with paint, there is just so much […]
What to look for when it comes to picking out kitchen appliances: Leave room in your budget for appliances. When it comes to kitchen renovations everyone knows that the cabinetry and the labor of demoing and installing cabinetry is going to eat a lot of your budget. However, the second most expensive part of a […]
I don’t think I’m alone in thinking that designing a kitchen is an overwhelming undertaking. I’m an interior designer and even I find it stressful to iron out all of those details. So, when it comes time to design a kitchen I always like to partner with a kitchen designer to make sure I’m remembering […]
