Last weekend felt like Spring was arriving early and this weekend bought us all back to reality! It was super chilly and windy. Nothing seemed more inviting than staying in bed all day and watching a movie marathon, but that was not in the cards.
Saturday morning I headed out to a baby shower for a new Pavone baby! Jon’s cousin’s wife is pregnant with their first child and we are all super excited about it.
Jon’s sister was in charge of the onesie decorating station and since I put one together for my shower I helped her put it together.
Guests really enjoyed it and I even got in on the action and did a little drawing of their first baby, Monty!
It was a really pretty affair. Especially the yummy food set up. Here is a little peek of it!
Later in the day we ventured out with the boys for a sweet treat at Manny’s Sweet Treats. It’s a cafe that serves lunch food, but it’s main focus is on gelato and fancy milkshakes, hot chocolates, waffles and crepes. It’s fun for a special treat!
The boys were bouncing off the walls after we left, which meant a little bit of a later bedtime, but all was well.
Sunday was even colder than Saturday, which meant I had even less motivation to get out of bed! But the boys woke up early and needed to burn off some of that energy so we ran out to Target to run some errands.
I recently found out that I’m a bit nearsighted and need glasses for driving. I wasn’t thrilled, but I was excited to pick out glasses! Who doesn’t like a new fashion accessory. Haha. I went with the Vence eyeglasses from Warby Parker. It’s still taking some getting use to them, but it’s not so bad.
Target’s dollar spot didn’t disappoint and I came home with some fun rose gold goodies!
So good, right! The rest of the day was spent at home relaxing and staying warm. The boys got to play and I was able to do a little work and then ordered in Mexican for dinner! The perfect ending to a weekend!

My living room is one of the rooms that evolved drastically from when we first moved one. Originally I painted the walls chocolate brown and did accents of white, blue and orange. That lasted maybe 2 years.
Our dining room sat empty for months. Okay maybe it was empty for just a handful of weeks and then we couldn’t take it anymore and put in a folding table and plastic outdoor chairs, but in my mind that was still empty.
On the main floor of our house we have a Florida room. Being that it’s a Florida room it is a considered a 3 season room, because there is no heat in the room. The previous owners used it as an indoor patio with outdoor furniture and it looked like this when we moved in.
In our new home, the basement was completely unfinished. It was literally one of those dark spaces that you see in horror movies and are terrified of getting locked into. However, with the square footage in this house, I knew I needed to make the basement another workable and liveable floor of the house instead […]
The time has come to finally share our new kitchen reveal. For those of you that have been with us from the beginning, we bought a house right before the pandemic hit. It was a total gut job from top to bottom. We started our demo and then the world shut down. Enter the delays […]
Picking out paint colors for a new home can be overwhelming. I find that many times when I meet with a new client the entire house is simply just painted white or a light gray. Now, I think there is a time and place for those colors, but with paint, there is just so much […]
What to look for when it comes to picking out kitchen appliances: Leave room in your budget for appliances. When it comes to kitchen renovations everyone knows that the cabinetry and the labor of demoing and installing cabinetry is going to eat a lot of your budget. However, the second most expensive part of a […]
I don’t think I’m alone in thinking that designing a kitchen is an overwhelming undertaking. I’m an interior designer and even I find it stressful to iron out all of those details. So, when it comes time to design a kitchen I always like to partner with a kitchen designer to make sure I’m remembering […]
I think I’d have to take advantage of that ice cream shop for a special occasional treat… a few times a week! Yuuuum! ????
does this also mean you’re feeling less headachy with your glasses?
No, I keep trying them, but I keep getting headaches!
