In my family I am known for being quite the gift giver. I really pride myself on finding unique items that the gift receiver didn’t even realize they wanted. So, gift guides are one of my favorite things to do! I’m always so excited to share my amazing finds! Since so many of us are going to be adding holiday parties in the near future I wanted to start with hostess gifts. The best part is these gifts also work nicely for anyone on your holiday gift list.
No. 1 I love nothing better receiving a gift that is monogrammed! It’s something special and not many people do it for themselves so, it’s nice to give it as a gift. Plus it shows that you took the time to think ahead and not grab something last minute. I love thisginger jar version. What to zhush up your gift even further? Add this chic napkin holder.
No. 2 Obsessed with this personalized galvanized bucket! It can hold up to 24 beers, but you could also use to house juice boxes, wine, water bottles, etc! It would be great for parties! Also you can personalize up to 12 letters per line and you can fill up to three lines. Best part? It’s less than $25!
No. 3 Some form of alcohol is always a favorite hostess gift. Why not add a little something, something with it like this elephant bottle opener. Would be so nice paired with a unique beer or cider.
No. 4 Hostess is exhausting. Why not give your hostess a little something to help he or she relax after the party like this petite floral oil diffuser. It comes with a bottle of essential oil, but you could also add your own blend if you have a favorite mix.
No. 5 A candle is also a pretty classic hostess gift, but make it special by picking out a candle that can also double as a chic home decor accessory like this pineapple covered candle for only $9.99 and available in white, gold and silver! Pair it with stylish matches and you are good to go.
No. 6 Since I love color so much I always like to give gifts that inject a little color as well. I find that so many people are scared of color, but when they give it a try they end up loving it. So, why not help them along the way. How adorable are these colorful otomi inspired coasters. I love the pattern and a set of 4 is less than $10!
No. 7 Flowers are always a great hostess gift and how amazing is this floral vase to pair it with. I love the handpainted look of the piece. It looks fancier than the $22 it costs.
No. 8 Is this glitter acrylic tray not the best thing ever? I’m obsessed. It would make any bar cart very happy!
No. 9 If you can fall in love with an ice bucket then I’m totally in love with this one. It’s classic looking but the hardware is nicely updated. Yet, it’s simple enough to fit into anyone’s home decor style.
No. 10 Pretty packaging always gets me and I have always liked Mrs. Meyers branding. Isn’t this soap and lotion gift box set. I would pair it this tasseled kitchen towel that is less than $4!!!!
No. 11 Throws are my go to for grab bags. I think everyone can always use something cozy to throw over a chair, etc. Love this gray greek key throw and it’s less than $20!
No. 12 Pineapples are a symbol of warm, welcome and hospitality, which is why I love to give pineapple items for hostess gifts. I found this cute pineapple pot holder set from Minted.
No. 13 Instead of going full on monogram you can always just get something with an initial like these colorful mugs and pair it with your favorite coffee beans or this battery operated milk frother, which my mom swears by. It’s a nice way to dress up a cup of plain jane coffee.
What are your favorite hostess gifts? Anything I should be on the look out for?
My living room is one of the rooms that evolved drastically from when we first moved one. Originally I painted the walls chocolate brown and did accents of white, blue and orange. That lasted maybe 2 years.
Our dining room sat empty for months. Okay maybe it was empty for just a handful of weeks and then we couldn’t take it anymore and put in a folding table and plastic outdoor chairs, but in my mind that was still empty.
On the main floor of our house we have a Florida room. Being that it’s a Florida room it is a considered a 3 season room, because there is no heat in the room. The previous owners used it as an indoor patio with outdoor furniture and it looked like this when we moved in.
In our new home, the basement was completely unfinished. It was literally one of those dark spaces that you see in horror movies and are terrified of getting locked into. However, with the square footage in this house, I knew I needed to make the basement another workable and liveable floor of the house instead […]
What to look for when it comes to picking out kitchen appliances: Leave room in your budget for appliances. When it comes to kitchen renovations everyone knows that the cabinetry and the labor of demoing and installing cabinetry is going to eat a lot of your budget. However, the second most expensive part of a […]
I don’t think I’m alone in thinking that designing a kitchen is an overwhelming undertaking. I’m an interior designer and even I find it stressful to iron out all of those details. So, when it comes time to design a kitchen I always like to partner with a kitchen designer to make sure I’m remembering […]
