This little project was dreamed up out of necessity. I have loved all of those cheese boards with pretty glided greetings for a while now. I had my eye on You are my favorite and Hello Lovely cheese plates from Anthropologie, but they were a bit too pricey for a whim.
So, I knew there had to be a way make a little DIY version of it!
This is such a simple project, but it makes a big impact! Everyone I have shown it to falls in love with it and wants me to make one for them!
Step 1: Get your clean tile and lay out your saying. You can put whatever you like. I was itching to put, Say Cheese or the More the Merrier, but I was running low on letters. I used the painters tape to help get my saying level.
Step 2: Once your first word is placed on the board move down and align your next word.
Step 3: Flip over and add your clear bumpers so that it’s easy to place it on a table and you won’t scratch anything.
That’s it! You are done!
Is it not the prettiest? I made sure to rub the letters on firmly so that they wouldn’t lift up. Then for cleaning you need to do a light hand wash. Now, is it going to last forever? The board will but the lettering won’t. You can easily use goo be gone to remove it and leave it plain or add a different saying. Win, win!
I think it’s an adorable gift and easy to customize for your friend, family member, etc. Plus the majority of the supplies are on Amazon Prime and will be here before Christmas!

My living room is one of the rooms that evolved drastically from when we first moved one. Originally I painted the walls chocolate brown and did accents of white, blue and orange. That lasted maybe 2 years.
Our dining room sat empty for months. Okay maybe it was empty for just a handful of weeks and then we couldn’t take it anymore and put in a folding table and plastic outdoor chairs, but in my mind that was still empty.
On the main floor of our house we have a Florida room. Being that it’s a Florida room it is a considered a 3 season room, because there is no heat in the room. The previous owners used it as an indoor patio with outdoor furniture and it looked like this when we moved in.
In our new home, the basement was completely unfinished. It was literally one of those dark spaces that you see in horror movies and are terrified of getting locked into. However, with the square footage in this house, I knew I needed to make the basement another workable and liveable floor of the house instead […]
The time has come to finally share our new kitchen reveal. For those of you that have been with us from the beginning, we bought a house right before the pandemic hit. It was a total gut job from top to bottom. We started our demo and then the world shut down. Enter the delays […]
Picking out paint colors for a new home can be overwhelming. I find that many times when I meet with a new client the entire house is simply just painted white or a light gray. Now, I think there is a time and place for those colors, but with paint, there is just so much […]
What to look for when it comes to picking out kitchen appliances: Leave room in your budget for appliances. When it comes to kitchen renovations everyone knows that the cabinetry and the labor of demoing and installing cabinetry is going to eat a lot of your budget. However, the second most expensive part of a […]
I don’t think I’m alone in thinking that designing a kitchen is an overwhelming undertaking. I’m an interior designer and even I find it stressful to iron out all of those details. So, when it comes time to design a kitchen I always like to partner with a kitchen designer to make sure I’m remembering […]
