Ok, so this gift guide was geared for the tween/teen set, but then I realized I would actually enjoying receiving the majority of the gift items! So, keep an open mind and perhaps you’ll find something fab for your sister or bestie!
No. 1 I think we all need a little reminder to chill so, I really loved this piece as a cool piece of artwork, but it’s actually meant to be a jewelry holder for your necklaces! You could use it for both uses and it’s less than $15!!!!
No. 2 Ok, this unicorn busts is not one of the items I would want as a lady in my 30’s, but I think it’s super fun and on trend and will be a big hit with the tween girls in your life.
No. 3 Does anyone need a sprinkle intial letter? No. Is it awesome? Totally. Such a fun addition to a bedroom and kid hangout. I would want a bunch to spell something out.
No. 4 Love these iron patches. I would pair with with a canvas tote, make up bag, etc and make it a craft project for the tween/teen.
No. 5 Last week I found an adorable multi-color fur pom pom hat at Target, but it was kid’s size and no way that I could squeeze my head into it. Loving this woman’s size fur pom pom hat, which I think would be a crowd favorite plus the black goes with everything!
No. 6 Gold sneakers! Come to momma! This is one of the items where I would purchase two so, that I could get one. Best part? They are currently on sale for $29 and all sizes are available.
No. 7 I’m still loving the felt letter board trend. I just think that if I was a tween/teen I would want a more colorful board like these yellow and pink felt letter boards. I would take one of each!
No. 8 How chic are these embroidered velvet pouches. A cute little addition to anyone’s handbag for loose change, etc. It’s more sophisticated than most of the items on this list, but I think the tassel adds a little touch of whimsy and makes it appropriate for the younger set.
No. 9 It’s a leopard baseball cap. Enough said. I think it’s a must for everyone and I very badly want to treat myself to one, but I’m done with all my Christmas shopping and need to take a little shopping hiatus. I went crazy during Black Friday/Cyber Monday sales. Ah! It’s only $12 maybe I should just do it!!!
No. 10 Do you not think of Adele every time you see or hear the word, Hello. Just me? I love this Hello balloon sign, which is such a cute accessory for a desk area or bookcase.
No. 11 I always love receiving nail salon gift certificates. Why not pair that with a personalized bottle of nail polish. I have bought polishes before from Pretty Please Nail Polish and I have really enjoyed the quality. They are always a hit. Add the gift recipients name or an inside joke, favorite movie line, etc.
No. 12 I love a good book especially when you are going thru something. I remember feeling really blah during my early 20’s. I was expecting everything to happen right away and I was so upset that I wasn’t killing it at life. I picked up, It’s A Wonderful Life: 26 lies about your twenties. It was so refreshing to read stories about other ladies feeling the same way that it totally helped with my anxiety. I was happy when I found something for the teen set called, Almost Adult, which gives you tips for how to do life as an almost adult. Not appropriate for the tween set.
No. 13 When I was in my teens I redecorated my bedroom a million times. Ok, maybe it’s a million, but I went thru a lilac and green country phase, bold red and beige zen sort of phase, an all white with pops of hot pink and neon green, etc. You get the idea. I love these 3D butterfly wall stickers for the budding decorator in your life. They are fun, colorful, budget friendly (38 butteries for $12.99) and easily removable when they move on to something else.
No. 14 A crazy make up find is always fun for the tween/teen set. I love these animal masks. I pick them all the time, because I love to show the boys all of the different animal faces.
Anything you are itching to get yourself from this list? Ah! I’m still thinking about that leopard cap.
My living room is one of the rooms that evolved drastically from when we first moved one. Originally I painted the walls chocolate brown and did accents of white, blue and orange. That lasted maybe 2 years.
Our dining room sat empty for months. Okay maybe it was empty for just a handful of weeks and then we couldn’t take it anymore and put in a folding table and plastic outdoor chairs, but in my mind that was still empty.
On the main floor of our house we have a Florida room. Being that it’s a Florida room it is a considered a 3 season room, because there is no heat in the room. The previous owners used it as an indoor patio with outdoor furniture and it looked like this when we moved in.
In our new home, the basement was completely unfinished. It was literally one of those dark spaces that you see in horror movies and are terrified of getting locked into. However, with the square footage in this house, I knew I needed to make the basement another workable and liveable floor of the house instead […]
What to look for when it comes to picking out kitchen appliances: Leave room in your budget for appliances. When it comes to kitchen renovations everyone knows that the cabinetry and the labor of demoing and installing cabinetry is going to eat a lot of your budget. However, the second most expensive part of a […]
I don’t think I’m alone in thinking that designing a kitchen is an overwhelming undertaking. I’m an interior designer and even I find it stressful to iron out all of those details. So, when it comes time to design a kitchen I always like to partner with a kitchen designer to make sure I’m remembering […]
