Happy Monday! Hope you all had a lovely weekend! We actually had quite a busy weekend that started bright and early with a birthday party on Saturday am. The party was held from 10-12, which I thought was an amazing time frame. My kids are up and ready to go since 7am so, it was nice to have something to do early and then still have a big chunk of the day to other things.
This party was at Nunley’s Carousel! I had never been there before, but it was a lot of fun. Who doesn’t love unlimited carousel rides! I didn’t miss one!
The boys were equally excited!
The sister, Daniela was actually at the party as well and we had to take a shoe selfie when we realized we were in sparkly kicks!
Daniela’s are all silver and currently on sale for $21! She loves them and has been wearing them quite a bit! Mine are actually old Steve Madden hi-top glitter sneakers, but this version from Vans is pretty similar.
These were the most delicious cupcakes! Funfetti cake and frosting that tasted exactly like it came out of the can, which in my opinion can be some of the best frosting. Yum! I had two!
Me and the birthday girl! I was trying a little too to get Charlotte as obsessed with me as I am with her. Haha. She really makes me work for a smile and thought I was nuts when I tried snapping this pic! Isn’t she adorable! Those curls!
The rest of day was spent hanging out with my sister. We got our nails done and did a little shopping at Old Navy and since I hadn’t been there in a while I was happily surprised to find some amazing goodies!
This dress caught my eye right when I walked it!
Loving this adorable pink baseball cap!
When I went home I even did a little window shopping online and found these other goodies!
I want each and every one of these things!
I then proceeded to binge watch the rest of Grace & Frankie once the boys fell asleep! So good! I’m happy I got to finish the season in two days, but now I’m super sad it’s over and I don’t have new episodes. Do you watch Grace & Frankie? I’m obsessed. I have loved them since 9 to 5.
On Sunday we had a big family breakfast complete with cinnamon rolls! I swear the smell of that paired with bacon woke everyone up!
Then Jon had the honor of photographing my make up tutorial! Here is the fun before shot!
Of course like any good husband he thinks I look prettier without all the make up. Stay tuned for the post tomorrow!
Then we spent the rest of the day with the boys in my studio hanging wallpaper! Exciting stuff!
The building I’m in is old so it’s a bit crooked everywhere, which made hanging wallpaper I bit difficult. When we had it straight with the wall the crooked floor and frame in front of the kitchenette area was making it look crooked. So, we had to go with the crooked and give our paper a lean as well to make it all line up.
Four hours later we had this!
Jon is a saint.
I just need to finish painting some trim around the refrigerator that Jon put in to make it look more build in and add some hardware. Toying with some shelving on the walls, but now I don’t think I want to cover any part of the paper. We shall see.
Once we got home it was back to dinner prep, bath time, bed, etc. Long day!
Happy Monday!
My living room is one of the rooms that evolved drastically from when we first moved one. Originally I painted the walls chocolate brown and did accents of white, blue and orange. That lasted maybe 2 years.
Our dining room sat empty for months. Okay maybe it was empty for just a handful of weeks and then we couldn’t take it anymore and put in a folding table and plastic outdoor chairs, but in my mind that was still empty.
On the main floor of our house we have a Florida room. Being that it’s a Florida room it is a considered a 3 season room, because there is no heat in the room. The previous owners used it as an indoor patio with outdoor furniture and it looked like this when we moved in.
In our new home, the basement was completely unfinished. It was literally one of those dark spaces that you see in horror movies and are terrified of getting locked into. However, with the square footage in this house, I knew I needed to make the basement another workable and liveable floor of the house instead […]
What to look for when it comes to picking out kitchen appliances: Leave room in your budget for appliances. When it comes to kitchen renovations everyone knows that the cabinetry and the labor of demoing and installing cabinetry is going to eat a lot of your budget. However, the second most expensive part of a […]
I don’t think I’m alone in thinking that designing a kitchen is an overwhelming undertaking. I’m an interior designer and even I find it stressful to iron out all of those details. So, when it comes time to design a kitchen I always like to partner with a kitchen designer to make sure I’m remembering […]
