This weekend was a bit different from most of our weekends, because this momma had a little adventure in the city on Saturday while the Pavone men stayed home. We met up in the evening, but it was nice to get out and have some girl time with my sisters and friends. If you follow me on instagram stories then you know that I was going to a Korean Spa called, Premier 57. To say I was terrified is an understatement. They have a sister location in Queens that has a bad rap so, I was already scared and then I heard they were areas of the spa where you had to be naked. Cue to the lady that is always and I mean always clothed and I was panicked.
I’m happy to report that it was a million times better than I thought. It was just like any other spa decor wise and there really was no nakedness! So, I was stressed for nothing really. If you are going to go I recommend getting a Groupon, because it can be pricey and going early is better. It got very crowded in the afternoon and the saunas and pools were packed.
You are not allowed to take pics so I had to sneak my phone around for instagram stories, but it was so dark that photos were difficult. Here is a pic of their hot tub pool that was full of jets. It was one of my favorite parts of it.
Then we all met up at my sisters apartment! Daniela moved in with my sister, Ximena and her husband Steve, so it’s threes company and nice to have them all in one place! I have never shared photos of their space so, I grabbed a couple of pics to show a little peaks.
Before moving in we did a reno and I of course got to help with it. Here is their new kitchen with the dark gray cabinets, herringbone subway tile backsplash and of course glam brass globe pendants.
Here is a peak into their bathroom which we also renovated. Amazing black and white cement tiles!
To make a big impact on a budget we did subway tile from floor to ceiling.
My favorite source for stylish lighting and of course that is where I went yet again when we were looking for lighting in the bathroom. Loving the brass and black double globe wall sconce.
Daniela’s room was one of my favorites to design, because we painted the walls this pretty peachy/pink shade and I’m obsessed with it.
For the winter we went bold with her bedding and used this rich looking Ted Baker comforter and shams. It works really nicely with the cobalt blue headboard. Plus you can see a peek of the diy plug in sconce turned hardwired sconce I shared last week.
Ximena and Steve’s bedroom houses my most favorite rug! It’s insane. Everyone loves it when they walk into the room.
We were there to celebrate my sister’s birthday so, Jon and the boys meet us there and we had dinner and cake! Yum! So bummed I don’t have cake leftovers at my house. So good!
There were chic birthday gifts like this amazing Leslie Weaver portrait dish towel!!!!!! Plus the Life is what you bake it tea towel is embroidered, which makes it look even more special.
On Sunday we had a lazy day at home! It was gray and raining and the boys had a pajama day at home. I ran out to try and run some errands and popped into JoAnn’s for fabric and left empty handed but saw these adorable face pots! I can’t find these exact ones online, but here is a gold lady planter, trinket lady vase, celifie vase.
I spent the rest of the day napping (I rarely nap, but I passed out for almost 3 hours and it was amazing) and then baking!
Happy Monday!
My living room is one of the rooms that evolved drastically from when we first moved one. Originally I painted the walls chocolate brown and did accents of white, blue and orange. That lasted maybe 2 years.
Our dining room sat empty for months. Okay maybe it was empty for just a handful of weeks and then we couldn’t take it anymore and put in a folding table and plastic outdoor chairs, but in my mind that was still empty.
On the main floor of our house we have a Florida room. Being that it’s a Florida room it is a considered a 3 season room, because there is no heat in the room. The previous owners used it as an indoor patio with outdoor furniture and it looked like this when we moved in.
In our new home, the basement was completely unfinished. It was literally one of those dark spaces that you see in horror movies and are terrified of getting locked into. However, with the square footage in this house, I knew I needed to make the basement another workable and liveable floor of the house instead […]
What to look for when it comes to picking out kitchen appliances: Leave room in your budget for appliances. When it comes to kitchen renovations everyone knows that the cabinetry and the labor of demoing and installing cabinetry is going to eat a lot of your budget. However, the second most expensive part of a […]
I don’t think I’m alone in thinking that designing a kitchen is an overwhelming undertaking. I’m an interior designer and even I find it stressful to iron out all of those details. So, when it comes time to design a kitchen I always like to partner with a kitchen designer to make sure I’m remembering […]
