We have made it to Friday! These past couple of weeks have been a doozy around here with the germs. Everyone has been sick. Jon started it and was out for the count a couple of weeks ago, then I caught it then the boys, then Asher stayed sick, Jon got sick again this time with strep and then it hit me as well! Madness! We all finally seem to be on the mend. The upside of all of these sick days? Binge watching Hart of Dixie. I was so excited that there were 4 seasons until I realized yesterday that season 4 is only 10 episodes! Cue the tears! What do I watch next? Don’t fret in between watching my friends in Bluebell, AL I have fit in work and lots of online surfing! Here is what caught my eye this week!
– I started wandering around Forever 21 and found some cute finds like this amazing tassel straw tote for less than $40, heart print shirt, which sounds cheesy, but is oh so chic, this floral button down top, which has the prettiest colors on it, cork heels, which I want to add pom poms and tassels too, palm leaf flip flops, because duh and this oversized weekend tote that I really want to buy and then get leather paint and go to town on it!
-How cute is this stool? It’s the perfect little perch for a vanity area or group a pair of them under a console table. Leave the fabric as is or zhush it up with something bolder!
-I don’t think I will ever tire of a greek key. It’s a classic in my book. I love using it in the form of a lamp instead of in fabric or a rug border, which sadly has become overdone. This lamp is sold as a set and is available in silver, gold and black.
-If you are looking to re-do your outdoor space for the coming summer then now is the time to start ordering your furniture and make sure it arrives on time. Some furniture items are ready to ship but others have lead times of up to 6-8 weeks! I’m loving these bistro chairs in french blue. They would look so pretty in an outdoor dining area.
-I started using this undereye setting powder and it’s been life changing! It really helps keep my undereye concealer on and I notice less wrinkles! Win, win!
Happy Friday! Happy Passover! Happy Easter!
My living room is one of the rooms that evolved drastically from when we first moved one. Originally I painted the walls chocolate brown and did accents of white, blue and orange. That lasted maybe 2 years.
Our dining room sat empty for months. Okay maybe it was empty for just a handful of weeks and then we couldn’t take it anymore and put in a folding table and plastic outdoor chairs, but in my mind that was still empty.
On the main floor of our house we have a Florida room. Being that it’s a Florida room it is a considered a 3 season room, because there is no heat in the room. The previous owners used it as an indoor patio with outdoor furniture and it looked like this when we moved in.
In our new home, the basement was completely unfinished. It was literally one of those dark spaces that you see in horror movies and are terrified of getting locked into. However, with the square footage in this house, I knew I needed to make the basement another workable and liveable floor of the house instead […]
What to look for when it comes to picking out kitchen appliances: Leave room in your budget for appliances. When it comes to kitchen renovations everyone knows that the cabinetry and the labor of demoing and installing cabinetry is going to eat a lot of your budget. However, the second most expensive part of a […]
I don’t think I’m alone in thinking that designing a kitchen is an overwhelming undertaking. I’m an interior designer and even I find it stressful to iron out all of those details. So, when it comes time to design a kitchen I always like to partner with a kitchen designer to make sure I’m remembering […]
Hey! Glad people are on the mend in your house! The link to the bistro house is for the lamps. I’m on the hunt for bistro chairs. Can you share the link again?
Whoops! I fixed the link!
Sadly, the bistro chairs are linking to the Greek key lamps. Curios to what bistro chairs you’re referring to.
Sorry! Just fixed it!
Can you re-link the undereye setting powder? Keeps concealer on and less wrinkles??? I need this!!! Thanks!
