The sun came out both days this weekend which everyone happy! I had a meeting Saturday morning so Jon and the boys tagged along and went to the barber shop for haircuts while I worked. Afterwards we met up at the park, which is conveniently right across the road from my studio. Since it was so nice out there were actually a bunch of kids in the playground area, which the boys really loved. They love meeting new friends!
After lunch we headed to a pool party! I thought I was killing it in the parenting game, because I had packed up bathing suits and even extra shirts incase the boys were itchy after their haircuts. Want to know what I forgot? TOWELS! I couldn’t believe it. I had to leave Jon at the party with the boys and then ran out like a mad woman on the hunt for towels. I literally typed in TOWELS to my google maps in panic.
Afterwards I dragged the boys to Christmas Tree Shops! I hadn’t been there in a couple of months and I was itching to see what was new!
This fretwork chest of drawers was on crazy sale for $99!!!! I couldn’t find it online, but found this fretwork chest of drawers has a similar pattern. Love the colors it’s available in.
Trendy chairs for less than $200.
Lots of pineapple decor, but this was my favorite. So bummed it had a chip!
Then we topped it off with ice cream for dinner! I’m not a regular mom, I’m a cool mom!
Then on Sunday we headed into the city for brunch at my sister’s apt! Best part is that my sisters live together so, I got to see them both!
Kate Spade Ampersand Trivet and Kate Spade Pot Holder:
A little peek into their living room, which you have previously seen in this apartment reveal.
The floating shelf addition was one of my favorite additions. Book storage, but also helps you decorate your wall space.
Since my sister moved in to the second bedroom her warrior girl gallery wall made it’s way to this apartment as well. You can see her previous apartment here.
We ended up spending most of the day in the city and even got to sneak in a little cat nap and try on some of her fascinators in preparation for the royal wedding in May!
All in all a very fun weekend!
My living room is one of the rooms that evolved drastically from when we first moved one. Originally I painted the walls chocolate brown and did accents of white, blue and orange. That lasted maybe 2 years.
Our dining room sat empty for months. Okay maybe it was empty for just a handful of weeks and then we couldn’t take it anymore and put in a folding table and plastic outdoor chairs, but in my mind that was still empty.
On the main floor of our house we have a Florida room. Being that it’s a Florida room it is a considered a 3 season room, because there is no heat in the room. The previous owners used it as an indoor patio with outdoor furniture and it looked like this when we moved in.
In our new home, the basement was completely unfinished. It was literally one of those dark spaces that you see in horror movies and are terrified of getting locked into. However, with the square footage in this house, I knew I needed to make the basement another workable and liveable floor of the house instead […]
What to look for when it comes to picking out kitchen appliances: Leave room in your budget for appliances. When it comes to kitchen renovations everyone knows that the cabinetry and the labor of demoing and installing cabinetry is going to eat a lot of your budget. However, the second most expensive part of a […]
I don’t think I’m alone in thinking that designing a kitchen is an overwhelming undertaking. I’m an interior designer and even I find it stressful to iron out all of those details. So, when it comes time to design a kitchen I always like to partner with a kitchen designer to make sure I’m remembering […]
