I tend to forget about Pier 1 Imports even though I have a location less than 5 mins away from me. The other day I was driving by and actually had some time so, I decided to go in and take a look around! I found so many fun finds that I had to share with you!
This beautiful large scale floral artwork piece had me at hello! It’s the first thing I saw when I walked in and I loved it. It looks like an original piece and already had a pretty framing around it. The framing is more on the farmhouse style side, but it’s still a great piece and can work with a variety of design styles. Also loved this piece and it’s price is crazy good for the size of it.
I wandered into the furniture section and was immediately drawn to this chair. It’s called the Asher Tropical Chair! It was meant to be! Love the color and the pattern. It’s a little Golden Girls and I love it! It also comes in this floral pattern, which is equally bold, but no palm trees, so it gives a more of a traditional with a twist or eclectic vibe less granny chic.
Pier 1 Imports pillow game has always been strong. I really liked this sweet pillow with a mix of plaid and flowers! I loved that the flowers were felt appliques and added a different texture to the pillow.

My living room is one of the rooms that evolved drastically from when we first moved one. Originally I painted the walls chocolate brown and did accents of white, blue and orange. That lasted maybe 2 years.
Our dining room sat empty for months. Okay maybe it was empty for just a handful of weeks and then we couldn’t take it anymore and put in a folding table and plastic outdoor chairs, but in my mind that was still empty.
On the main floor of our house we have a Florida room. Being that it’s a Florida room it is a considered a 3 season room, because there is no heat in the room. The previous owners used it as an indoor patio with outdoor furniture and it looked like this when we moved in.
In our new home, the basement was completely unfinished. It was literally one of those dark spaces that you see in horror movies and are terrified of getting locked into. However, with the square footage in this house, I knew I needed to make the basement another workable and liveable floor of the house instead […]
The time has come to finally share our new kitchen reveal. For those of you that have been with us from the beginning, we bought a house right before the pandemic hit. It was a total gut job from top to bottom. We started our demo and then the world shut down. Enter the delays […]
Picking out paint colors for a new home can be overwhelming. I find that many times when I meet with a new client the entire house is simply just painted white or a light gray. Now, I think there is a time and place for those colors, but with paint, there is just so much […]
What to look for when it comes to picking out kitchen appliances: Leave room in your budget for appliances. When it comes to kitchen renovations everyone knows that the cabinetry and the labor of demoing and installing cabinetry is going to eat a lot of your budget. However, the second most expensive part of a […]
I don’t think I’m alone in thinking that designing a kitchen is an overwhelming undertaking. I’m an interior designer and even I find it stressful to iron out all of those details. So, when it comes time to design a kitchen I always like to partner with a kitchen designer to make sure I’m remembering […]
