This week I took a mid week break from everything and went on a road trip with my friend, Kristen Poissant to CT! Let me tell you Connecticut never disappoints. Every town I have ever gone to has been charming and full of gems. I love it more and more every time I visit and whenever I get back home I’m always on zillow looking up houses! Now I just need to convince all of my family to move as well. The reason for our trip was to visit my instagram friend, Elaine who owns Kirby & Company and the new sister store, Kirby Girl. Both stores are heaven on earth and Elaine is an amazing business women who is the sweetest person and now a real life friend too! Can’t wait to head back and visit!
Take a peek into Kirby Girl! The massive gumball machine had me at hello and the best part is that the store associate offered me a quarter right when I walked in.
-This cape is giving me major Little Red Riding Hood Vibes and it would be perfect for apple picking! This one is a bit more muted, but also pretty for fall!
-Popped into Old Navy yesterday and didn’t find a ton of things I liked, but I did really love these faux leather leggings. They are high rise, which I really like, shape your bootie nicely and since the back is knit pointe legging material it’s really comfy. You will not feel like Ross in that Friends episode!
-I know I already spoke about runners this week, but during my hunt for the perfect colorful options I found this leopard runner which is quite a beauty and also less than $100.
-How cute is this teddy bear/sherpa pullover with a monogram! It’s only $38 and adorable! I know I would be wearing one on chilly days where you don’t need a coat yet. Plus the price point is perfect for girlfriend, mom, aunt, and sister holiday gifts!
-Ah! I had no idea that artist Paige Gemmel had her beautiful designs on mugs like this one that is orange and features an elephant! Add to cart!

My living room is one of the rooms that evolved drastically from when we first moved one. Originally I painted the walls chocolate brown and did accents of white, blue and orange. That lasted maybe 2 years.
Our dining room sat empty for months. Okay maybe it was empty for just a handful of weeks and then we couldn’t take it anymore and put in a folding table and plastic outdoor chairs, but in my mind that was still empty.
On the main floor of our house we have a Florida room. Being that it’s a Florida room it is a considered a 3 season room, because there is no heat in the room. The previous owners used it as an indoor patio with outdoor furniture and it looked like this when we moved in.
In our new home, the basement was completely unfinished. It was literally one of those dark spaces that you see in horror movies and are terrified of getting locked into. However, with the square footage in this house, I knew I needed to make the basement another workable and liveable floor of the house instead […]
The time has come to finally share our new kitchen reveal. For those of you that have been with us from the beginning, we bought a house right before the pandemic hit. It was a total gut job from top to bottom. We started our demo and then the world shut down. Enter the delays […]
Picking out paint colors for a new home can be overwhelming. I find that many times when I meet with a new client the entire house is simply just painted white or a light gray. Now, I think there is a time and place for those colors, but with paint, there is just so much […]
What to look for when it comes to picking out kitchen appliances: Leave room in your budget for appliances. When it comes to kitchen renovations everyone knows that the cabinetry and the labor of demoing and installing cabinetry is going to eat a lot of your budget. However, the second most expensive part of a […]
I don’t think I’m alone in thinking that designing a kitchen is an overwhelming undertaking. I’m an interior designer and even I find it stressful to iron out all of those details. So, when it comes time to design a kitchen I always like to partner with a kitchen designer to make sure I’m remembering […]
What is the link to the sherpa pullover? Thanks!
