From nostalgia to fashion, food and an adventure accessories we have you covered with our renaissance man gift guide!
No. 1 Freezy Freakies: Totally bring me back to my childhood and I know Jon would love them as well! Best part? We get to show our boys how cool they are too!
No. 2 Allbirds: Going shoe shopping with Jon is quite the excursion. He is little the princess and the pea with one pair pinching his toes or making his heel feel weird or fit perfectly on one foot and off on the other. You get the idea. He got these as a gift and has been loving them! Super comfy, can be worn without socks if you like due to their furry inside and can be machine washable.
No. 3 Wall Mounted Scrabble: We love playing games, but sometimes they can last a little bit long. Hello, Monopoly! You should see the rules we make up for the boys so, it can go by faster. Love, the idea of this wall mounted scrabble that you can play all week long as you are coming and going.
No. 4 Felt & Leather Canvas Protective Bag: A chic home for your laptop when you are on the go! Easily slides into a backpack, briefcase, or overnight weekend bag.
No. 5 Giant Star Wood Puzzle: Jon loves a good brainteaser. The brand Monkey Pod has a big array of them and they are all wooden and look super chic!
No. 6 Waffle Bowl Maker: Jon loves to make waffles, pancakes, and french toast for breakfast. He also has been known to enjoy a waffle cone with ice cream for dessert. I think he would really love to make his waffle bowls and scoop his favorite ice cream into them!
No. 7 Beard Moisturizer: So, the branding totally sucked me in, but then I read the amazing reviews and was hooked. Jon is always rocking a beard and I can be known to complain about the roughness. I’m not a fan of oil, because it can get really oily. I’m excited to have him try out this moisturizer.
No. 8 Corkcicle Invisiball Ball Maker: Jon loves unique finds and I think he would get a kick out of this Corkcicle that makes crystal clear round ice calls for drinks and then can also be used as a a tumbler for drinks. Keeps them cold for 9 hours and hot for 3.
No. 9 Crosby Record Player: I have gifted this, used them in airbnb’s and now we finally own one ourselves. We have really enjoyed it. We always tend to pick up old records when we are in thrift stores or during our travels. So, it’s really great to be able to listen to them now.
No. 10 Sprout Plantable Pencils: Keeping with the theme of Jon liking unique items and also having a love of the outdoors and all things nature I think he would get a kick out of these pencils. It would be a fun activity to do with the boys as well.
No. 11 Speckled Enamel Cocktail Shaker: Reminds of camping pots and pans and would look perfect in a cabin’s/country home bar area.
No. 12 Cell Phone case and wallet: Bumble bee yellow cell phone case with a secret compartment for your credit cards. Quirky with it’s color and totally useful. Win, win.
No. 13 Camping Hammock: We own these and Jon loves them. We have used them in the backyard with boys to just hang out and swing and have also used them while camping. Best part? It folds up into teeny bag so, it’s perfect for storage.
No. 14 Carabiner Pocket Watch: A cool watch meets a swiss army knife with a bottle opener, screwdriver, compass, tweezers and more!
No. 15 Graham Sneakers: Love that these shoes could really dress up an outfit and these have memory soles in them for extra comfiness! Also comes in chestnut. So, hopefully they pass Jon’s test!
No. 16 Propane Powered Fire Pit Table: I think that fire pits are a year round activity! I would love nothing more than to hang out on a chilly night on the deck with hot cocoa, blankets and s’mores!
Do you have any suggestions on anything else that the man in your life would love?
My living room is one of the rooms that evolved drastically from when we first moved one. Originally I painted the walls chocolate brown and did accents of white, blue and orange. That lasted maybe 2 years.
Our dining room sat empty for months. Okay maybe it was empty for just a handful of weeks and then we couldn’t take it anymore and put in a folding table and plastic outdoor chairs, but in my mind that was still empty.
On the main floor of our house we have a Florida room. Being that it’s a Florida room it is a considered a 3 season room, because there is no heat in the room. The previous owners used it as an indoor patio with outdoor furniture and it looked like this when we moved in.
In our new home, the basement was completely unfinished. It was literally one of those dark spaces that you see in horror movies and are terrified of getting locked into. However, with the square footage in this house, I knew I needed to make the basement another workable and liveable floor of the house instead […]

When it comes to kitchen renovations everyone knows that the cabinetry and the labor of demoing and installing cabinetry is going to eat a lot of your budget. However, the second most expensive part of a […]
