This weekend we celebrated Sebastian’s Baptism! Saturday I had a client meeting and then I had the little luxury of getting a manicure/pedicure. I hadn’t been to the nail salon in months!!!! The rest of the day was spent playing with Sebastian and finishing up his floral centerpieces. I like to go to my flower wholesaler when it comes to flowers for an event. This way I can look at their inventory online and make my selections of what I want and have them put them on hold for me. I normally screenshot all of the flowers I like and then play around with them in Canva until I get the perfect mix! If you have a tax id/tax resale certificate then you can go to a flower wholesaler you don’t need to be a florist. Can’t wait for you to see what we did! They came out really cute and super affordable!
How cute are the Pavone men! Let me tell you Asher was loving his bowtie. He asked for one for his Pre-K graduation and when I realized there was a little blue in his shirt, I decided to use it again. He was obsessed! Also happy to report that I thrift-ed the pants for all of the Pavone men, Hudson’s vest, and Jon’s dress shirt! (Make sure you follow along today for my #effortlessthriftandtell series on Instagram)
The guest of honor and his lovely parents! It’s so fun to see your sibling as a parent. They are great parents and adore him so much! The perfect little trio! Sebastian literally lights up all of our lives. We are obsessed with him.
Getting dipped!
My parents were very excited!
His aunties were also excited for a big squeeze!
After the church, we headed to Kingfish Oyster Bar for lunch. The restaurant is actually on the first level of a luxury apartment building and hotel. We had never been there before, but when my sister was looking for a place I remembered seeing photos of it and how pretty it was!
This is the main lobby that you walk into:
Since it’s an oyster bar/seafood focus to it there is a lot of fish decor around, which is done really tastefully and not cheesy at all. We really loved how chic everything looked!
The banquettes and chairs are all this blue/slate leather, which I thought was a really nice touch to make the room look special.
They had these garage type doors that go down to close the room and make it private. It has white signage on it like you were at a fish market.
We wanted to showcase photos of Sebastian and decided to go with a photo frame centerpiece! It was super easy to do! All you need is 4 5 x 7 frames and a glass cylinder vase.
All you need to do is place your photos and then glue the frames into a square. Hot glue works perfectly! Once your square is made you can place your cylinder vase in the center!
We ordered these watercolor printable menus and place cards for a more personal touch!
Close up of menu:
The dessert table had everyone excited!
How pretty are the mini cupcakes and chocolate covered oreos!
Pretty donuts that were perfectly decorated!
How beautiful are these chocolate covered rice krispy treats! Like little mini works of art!!! Everyone thought they were soaps! They must put them in a mold to get them so perfectly shaped.
The little guest of honor! How cute is he! His hair keeps looking red to me especially in certain lights and in this photo you can totally see it!
Plus a family photo where everyone is looking and sort of smiling! Oh boys! They make it so hard to get a good photo. This is good as we could get after threatening to band xbox for the week.
My living room is one of the rooms that evolved drastically from when we first moved one. Originally I painted the walls chocolate brown and did accents of white, blue and orange. That lasted maybe 2 years.
Our dining room sat empty for months. Okay maybe it was empty for just a handful of weeks and then we couldn’t take it anymore and put in a folding table and plastic outdoor chairs, but in my mind that was still empty.
On the main floor of our house we have a Florida room. Being that it’s a Florida room it is a considered a 3 season room, because there is no heat in the room. The previous owners used it as an indoor patio with outdoor furniture and it looked like this when we moved in.
In our new home, the basement was completely unfinished. It was literally one of those dark spaces that you see in horror movies and are terrified of getting locked into. However, with the square footage in this house, I knew I needed to make the basement another workable and liveable floor of the house instead […]
What to look for when it comes to picking out kitchen appliances: Leave room in your budget for appliances. When it comes to kitchen renovations everyone knows that the cabinetry and the labor of demoing and installing cabinetry is going to eat a lot of your budget. However, the second most expensive part of a […]
I don’t think I’m alone in thinking that designing a kitchen is an overwhelming undertaking. I’m an interior designer and even I find it stressful to iron out all of those details. So, when it comes time to design a kitchen I always like to partner with a kitchen designer to make sure I’m remembering […]
