I love time spent at home. A home is such a big investment that you might as well make sure it’s pretty and cozy for you to hang out in! So when it comes to team go out or team stay in you know where I land. I would much rather grab a cozy blanket and snuggle in for a movie then head out to a party. It was a breeze to come up with this gift guide and my favorite items for the homebody in your life!
No. 1 I don’t know about you but sometimes when the weather is dark and dreary out there is nothing better than getting to work from your bed. It’s seriously heaven! I love having a husband pillow to prop me up and I was smitten when I found this sweet Ilama pillow! He is at a crazy steal for less than $20 and it’s for an adult person not a child.
No. 2 We are all working via tablets and phones or using it for personal things like shopping or paying bills. I hate not having a keyboard. I’m such much faster on a laptop. How perfect is this pink blue tooth keyboard that works with your ipad or iphone.
No. 3 Have you watched the Queen’s Gambet on Netflix? I loved it! I don’t even play chess, but I was fasinated with it!!!! It’s a must watch in my book. I stayed up way too late for many nights just binging it. The boys actually know how to play chess and I think it would be so fun to pick up this set and have them teach me a thing or too!!!
No. 4 I love Birkenstocks!!!! It’s my go to shoe in the summer. I wear them constantly and rotate between a bright pink pair and a rose gold pair. I saw that they have a pair with sherling and I think they are meant for me. Use them as is in the house and I would probably go out in them as well! Hello boys! It’s the middle of winter and your crazy momma has exposed toes at school pick up! Perhaps I should pair them with these cozy socks! I have seen it on people and it looks super cute!
No. 5 Blankets are my weakness! I have had to stop buying them because I have way too many of them! However I saw this blanket and I love it! It’s fleece, but looks way chicer than traditional fleece. I love both colorways and they are on sale currently with an extra 20% off for black friday! I mean they are practically paying me to buy it.
No. 6 I think this lucite and wood iphone stand would get a lot of use in my house. I would put it there when I’m doing my hair, but still want to watch tik tok videos or when I’m cooking and need to see a recipe! It’s chic and less than $20. No more propping my phone on something random and having it slide down or worse yet fall! A great grab bag gift!
No. 7 I could write a love song about these pants!!! They are heaven. The inside is super cozy, they have pockets and they make me feel like I’m this cool Brooklyn mom in my wide legged pants. They are sweatpants that look stylish and not at all like sweatpants. I tuck a shirt into them and add a demin or cargo jacket and my Rothy lace up sneakers and I swear I look super put together.
No. 8 Hello, tie dyed jumpsuit with pockets and a hood! A onesie for adults that I can actually get behind. Imagine all of the Hallmark Christmas movies I can watch while wearing this! The answer is all of them!
No. 9 I have always wanted glasses, but have never needed them. Blue light glasses opened up this whole new fashion accessory world to me and I’m here for it. I love a bold frame and this pair in purple is screaming my name! Brunettes look so pretty in purple and I think they would not only look fab, but help my tired eyes with all of my screentime. I use to just use them when I was at my laptop, but now I even do it with tv watching.
No. 10 I love the look of these leggings! They look like old school long johns but with a much nicer finish to them. They would be a perfect go to pj pant for the window months!
No. 11 I love my Night pillow, but it’s pricey! I got it last year for Christmas and I use it every night! The boys noticed and wanted their own so, I found a look a less option and this pillow has proven to be a winner! They are both very happy with theirs.
My living room is one of the rooms that evolved drastically from when we first moved one. Originally I painted the walls chocolate brown and did accents of white, blue and orange. That lasted maybe 2 years.
Our dining room sat empty for months. Okay maybe it was empty for just a handful of weeks and then we couldn’t take it anymore and put in a folding table and plastic outdoor chairs, but in my mind that was still empty.
On the main floor of our house we have a Florida room. Being that it’s a Florida room it is a considered a 3 season room, because there is no heat in the room. The previous owners used it as an indoor patio with outdoor furniture and it looked like this when we moved in.
In our new home, the basement was completely unfinished. It was literally one of those dark spaces that you see in horror movies and are terrified of getting locked into. However, with the square footage in this house, I knew I needed to make the basement another workable and liveable floor of the house instead […]
What to look for when it comes to picking out kitchen appliances: Leave room in your budget for appliances. When it comes to kitchen renovations everyone knows that the cabinetry and the labor of demoing and installing cabinetry is going to eat a lot of your budget. However, the second most expensive part of a […]
I don’t think I’m alone in thinking that designing a kitchen is an overwhelming undertaking. I’m an interior designer and even I find it stressful to iron out all of those details. So, when it comes time to design a kitchen I always like to partner with a kitchen designer to make sure I’m remembering […]
