I feel like we just hit summer and it’s almost mid-july! How is it all going so quickly! The boys had summer camp this week so I was able to get back to my normal work routine! So many fun design projects in the works along with our home renovation, which is finally heading towards the finish line! I’m so excited to share my Friday finds for this week! They are perfect for summer!
No. 1 I love sunglasses and how fab they make you feel! No need to do your makeup! Just put on an oversized pair of sunglasses and hide your whole face! The only thing I don’t love about sunglasses is the price tag. I tend to “forget” where I place my sunglasses from time to time so, I never want to spend more than $20 on a pair. Here are my go-to favorites and they all happen to be from amazon! I love this taupe-brown pair of sunglasses, which are currently on their way to me! I’m also really loving this pair that is a gradient black to tortoise.
No. 2 I love this dress with it’s ruffles and amazing price points! I own two of them! They are lightweight which makes them perfect for the summer and totally chic! I finish up my look with a patterned knotted headband and I’m good to go! It does run a bit big! I order a medium in it.
No. 3 How cute is this beach towel!!! Aren’t the colorful stripes adorable! Plus it’s oversized which I love for wrapping the boys up after the beach or pool.
No. 4 Loving this picnic basket tote!!! I love the wicker bottom, I love the cute pattern and I love that it’s the perfect setup for a cute date complete with a pair of plates, cups, and cutlery!
No. 5 Do you need an amazing beach read to devour? Pick up the Peachtree Bluff Series by Kristy Woodson Harvey! Kristy is actually a fellow design blogger that started writing books back in 2015! I’m insanely jealous that she is so talented at design and writing books. Her books are like a warm hug! She writes beautifully and I have purchased every book she has ever written after finishing the series! The Peachtree Bluff series is about a mom that is an interior designer and her 3 grown daughters and all of the ups and downs they go through! Book 1 is Slightly South of Simple, Book 2 is The Secret to Southern Charm and Book 3 is The Southern Side of Paradise! Take my advice and order all 3 at once you won’t want to be waiting for them to arrive separately.
No. 6 Custom window treatments are always my recommendation, but I get that they are budget breakers. I love finding ready-to-purchase window treatments that look custom! So, I have to share these roman shades that come in an array of border colors.
No. 7 Abstract garden vibes for your home with this chic downloadable art print for less than $10!
No. 8 I’m trying my best to really enjoy the summer and embrace the awesome weather and my little guys! I can’t believe my boys are 7 and 9 now! I swear not many summers where they will want to spend their time with mom and dad. They are into biking now which means I am too! How cute is this beach cruiser!
HAPPY FRIDAY!
My living room is one of the rooms that evolved drastically from when we first moved one. Originally I painted the walls chocolate brown and did accents of white, blue and orange. That lasted maybe 2 years.
Our dining room sat empty for months. Okay maybe it was empty for just a handful of weeks and then we couldn’t take it anymore and put in a folding table and plastic outdoor chairs, but in my mind that was still empty.
On the main floor of our house we have a Florida room. Being that it’s a Florida room it is a considered a 3 season room, because there is no heat in the room. The previous owners used it as an indoor patio with outdoor furniture and it looked like this when we moved in.
In our new home, the basement was completely unfinished. It was literally one of those dark spaces that you see in horror movies and are terrified of getting locked into. However, with the square footage in this house, I knew I needed to make the basement another workable and liveable floor of the house instead […]
What to look for when it comes to picking out kitchen appliances: Leave room in your budget for appliances. When it comes to kitchen renovations everyone knows that the cabinetry and the labor of demoing and installing cabinetry is going to eat a lot of your budget. However, the second most expensive part of a […]
I don’t think I’m alone in thinking that designing a kitchen is an overwhelming undertaking. I’m an interior designer and even I find it stressful to iron out all of those details. So, when it comes time to design a kitchen I always like to partner with a kitchen designer to make sure I’m remembering […]
