It’s still hot as anything here in NY. Typically I would love it, but it’s been very humid, and that has totally taken away from my excitement of warm days. So, this week when we hit the autumnal equinox and officially started fall I was ready to drive right in! Now I just need the crisp fall days to follow suit! This week my Friday finds have me thinking of all of the fall vibes and what I want for my wardrobe and my house!
Damn Instagram targeted ads, because these jeans from AYR keep popping up and I keep screenshotting them to remind myself that I want them! They are a bit overpriced. I have never paid over $200 for a pair of jeans, but the fit looks so nice, I love the color and I really like the little fraying at the bottom. Someone either talk me out of getting them and or tell me you own a pair and they are amazing!
How cute is this top? I love the puff sleeves! They look really nicely tailored and the color is perfect for fall! I can already see myself pumpkin picking in it! Speaking off puffy sleeves what about this top? Cute or am I going to look like a pirate? Ah!
I have been loving scallop detailing in the home decor world. It’s been popping up on a lot of soft goods like bedding, napkins, and placemats! They tend to be pricey, but I found these at a pretty affordable price point. A perfect addition to your Thanksgiving day tablescape!
Pink suede boots! Do I really need to say anything else! I love this shade of pink in the fall. It works with tan, camel, brown, burgundy, plum, hunter green, animal print! I mean it can be a fun staple in your fall wardrobe. I would feel a bit like Dolly Parton in them and I think everything could use a dose of Dolly!

My living room is one of the rooms that evolved drastically from when we first moved one. Originally I painted the walls chocolate brown and did accents of white, blue and orange. That lasted maybe 2 years.
Our dining room sat empty for months. Okay maybe it was empty for just a handful of weeks and then we couldn’t take it anymore and put in a folding table and plastic outdoor chairs, but in my mind that was still empty.
On the main floor of our house we have a Florida room. Being that it’s a Florida room it is a considered a 3 season room, because there is no heat in the room. The previous owners used it as an indoor patio with outdoor furniture and it looked like this when we moved in.
In our new home, the basement was completely unfinished. It was literally one of those dark spaces that you see in horror movies and are terrified of getting locked into. However, with the square footage in this house, I knew I needed to make the basement another workable and liveable floor of the house instead […]
The time has come to finally share our new kitchen reveal. For those of you that have been with us from the beginning, we bought a house right before the pandemic hit. It was a total gut job from top to bottom. We started our demo and then the world shut down. Enter the delays […]
Picking out paint colors for a new home can be overwhelming. I find that many times when I meet with a new client the entire house is simply just painted white or a light gray. Now, I think there is a time and place for those colors, but with paint, there is just so much […]
What to look for when it comes to picking out kitchen appliances: Leave room in your budget for appliances. When it comes to kitchen renovations everyone knows that the cabinetry and the labor of demoing and installing cabinetry is going to eat a lot of your budget. However, the second most expensive part of a […]
I don’t think I’m alone in thinking that designing a kitchen is an overwhelming undertaking. I’m an interior designer and even I find it stressful to iron out all of those details. So, when it comes time to design a kitchen I always like to partner with a kitchen designer to make sure I’m remembering […]
