Everyone loves a good before and after and this space does not disappoint. The best part about this bathroom renovation is that it wasn’t a massive gut job where we had to move things around. The sink, toilet, and shower stayed in the exact same place. There was a good amount of tile demo we had to deal with, but that was the biggest chunk of the gutting. Are you ready to see what we started out with and the preppy bathroom reveal?
Now there was nothing wrong with the bathroom per se, but it wasn’t in my clients’ style/taste, and with the tile everywhere it felt a bit dated. So, we got to work and came up with the happiest plan! We wanted color and for the room to read preppy in style. I think we hit it out of the park!
This bathroom has a lot of special moments, but I think the one that takes centerstage is the wallpaper! It’s a to-the-trade product so, if you would like to order some for your own renovation just email us! It has the perfect floral pattern which isn’t overly feminine and doesn’t give off granny vibes at all. The bold colors help give us that dose of preppiness that we really wanted in the space.
Goodbye, tile on the wall, and hello wainscotting! When you are wallpapering a bathroom or any room for that matter, it’s always nice to have a chair rail and wainscotting or beadboard underneath. It helps break up the pattern, protects the wall, and helps with the cost of the paper and labor.
When you have such beautiful colors in your wallpaper it really opens the door when it comes to fantastic art picks. The wallpaper is pretty busy so I knew I wanted something that was a bit more graphic and clean. I fell in love with artist, Valerie Leuchs’s lopsided hearts! She already had so many perfect colors available with the hearts that it worked perfectly. I did reach out and ask specifically for a chartreuse one and she was more than happy to oblige.
We had a good amount of fun with the tile in the shower area. With such a stunning wallpaper you can’t just go white in the shower. We found the dreamy turquoise meets aqua blue tile and decided to install it vertically to give it a more modern look.
A room isn’t preppy without stripes. We were able to inject some stripes into this bathroom with our roman shade and then added an additional stripe when it came to our shower mat. Are you allowed to have competing stripes in a space? This designer says yes! I just made sure to vary the width of the stripe so that it didn’t look matchy matchy and we were good to go!

My living room is one of the rooms that evolved drastically from when we first moved one. Originally I painted the walls chocolate brown and did accents of white, blue and orange. That lasted maybe 2 years.
Our dining room sat empty for months. Okay maybe it was empty for just a handful of weeks and then we couldn’t take it anymore and put in a folding table and plastic outdoor chairs, but in my mind that was still empty.
On the main floor of our house we have a Florida room. Being that it’s a Florida room it is a considered a 3 season room, because there is no heat in the room. The previous owners used it as an indoor patio with outdoor furniture and it looked like this when we moved in.
Fall is the perfect season to host an outdoor movie night in your backyard! It’s that time of year when outdoor furniture is still outside and it gets dark earlier than the summer which means your little kiddos can enjoy the movie night as well. It’s so nice to transform your backyard with cozy blankets, […]
Can you believe it’s already November? Before we know it Thanks No. 1 Modern bar cart with patterned sides that looks great as is, but would also look amazing painted a pop of color! Plus it’s only $157. No. 2 This lucite bar cart is a personal favorite of mine. Look at those chic lines! […]
For the longest time our backyard was mainly just grass and a little small area where we laid down some pavers so that we could set out a little plastic table/chairs during the summer. Not exactly ideal for entertaining. For the past couple of years we have wanted to build a deck and enjoy the […]
