HOW-TO-MAKE-AN-EASY-DIY-OUTDOOR-MOVIE-SCREEN-WITH-STAND

Fall is the perfect season to host an outdoor movie night in your backyard! It’s that time of year when outdoor furniture is still outside and it gets dark earlier than the summer which means your little kiddos can enjoy the movie night as well. It’s so nice to transform your backyard with cozy blankets, […]

Can you believe it’s already November? Before we know it Thanks No. 1 Modern bar cart with patterned sides that looks great as is, but would also look amazing painted a pop of color! Plus it’s only $157. No. 2 This lucite bar cart is a personal favorite of mine. Look at those chic lines! […]

For the longest time our backyard was mainly just grass and a little small area where we laid down some pavers so that we could set out a little plastic table/chairs during the summer. Not exactly ideal for entertaining. For the past couple of years we have wanted to build a deck and enjoy the […]

I pride myself and getting the perfect gift for people. I try to really think about the person, what they like/dislike, things they have mentioned in passing, etc. I find it pretty easy to get it right for the ladies in my life, but when it comes to the men in my life it’s just […]

Be Kind. For years now the last thing I tell my boys when they leave the house is to be kind. Of course, you need to do more than that in life, but being kind can lead to so much more. As a minority myself I know what it’s liked to be judged by my […]

MY FAVORITE ONLINE FABRIC SOURCES! Picking out fabrics is one of my favorite parts of the job. For me, it’s a great starting point for the design of a room. It’s a great place to get color inspiration. A good fabric in a room is so much more than something pretty to look at. In […]

I don’t know about you, but quarantine has had me in a baking mood. First, it normally takes a good amount of time to bake something so, it helps kills the time and second, who doesn’t get a little bit happier when they get a little treat! Yes, I’m a total emotional eater. If I’m […]

clean-make-up-from-ilia-beauty

I never thought I would be writing a post about clean beauty. For some reason, clean beauty was never something that really concerned me. I would happily pick up all of my favorite makeup items from Ulta or even the drugstore and never thought twice about what I was putting on my face. Then I […]

Mother’s day is quickly approaching and the homemade crafts are not going to be coming from school this year! My favorite gifts always end up being something jewelry related. Last year Asher made me the cutest jewelry box with massive gemstones on it and the interior was lined in felt. So cute! He loves to […]

ON THE BLOG

My living room is one of the rooms that evolved drastically from when we first moved one. Originally I painted the walls chocolate brown and did accents of white, blue and orange. That lasted maybe 2 years.

Our dining room sat empty for months. Okay maybe it was empty for just a handful of weeks and then we couldn’t take it anymore and put in a folding table and plastic outdoor chairs, but in my mind that was still empty.

On the main floor of our house we have a Florida room. Being that it’s a Florida room it is a considered a 3 season room, because there is no heat in the room. The previous owners used it as an indoor patio with outdoor furniture and it looked like this when we moved in.
