Fall is the perfect season to host an outdoor movie night in your backyard! It’s that time of year when outdoor furniture is still outside and it gets dark earlier than the summer which means your little kiddos can enjoy the movie night as well. It’s so nice to transform your backyard with cozy blankets, […]

round up of budget friendly bar carts

Can you believe it’s already November? Before we know it Thanks No. 1 Modern bar cart with patterned sides that looks great as is, but would also look amazing painted a pop of color! Plus it’s only $157. No. 2 This lucite bar cart is a personal favorite of mine. Look at those chic lines! […]

For the longest time our backyard was mainly just grass and a little small area where we laid down some pavers so that we could set out a little plastic table/chairs during the summer. Not exactly ideal for entertaining. For the past couple of years we have wanted to build a deck and enjoy the […]

Wreath making is one of my favorite DIY projects! I’m proud to say I have never purchased a ready-made wreath. They always seem so pricey and I think to myself that I could totally make it myself! Every season and holiday I make something new for the front door. It’s the beginning of the fall […]

I don’t like to rush the holidays, but now that Thanksgiving is upon us this week I think it’s safe to start talking about Christmas! You know I love to watch my share of Christmas movies and bake all of the cookies and fa la la while I decorate the house. I also love a […]

I love a good front door moment! For the past couple of years, I have been making my own wreaths and it’s one of my favorite seasonal projects. I’m always on the hunt for inspiration to hit! I saw Mrs. Threadhead instagram feed I was obsessed! I knew I wanted to tackle it with my […]

DIY Rainbow Pumpkin Wreath

DIY Preppy Flamingo Wreath

Motherhood has made me completely embrace all holidays! Sure, I always enjoyed decorating for Christmas and even Halloween, but that was really it before kids. Now with the boys they are all about holiday decor! They want to celebrate it all! We decked out the windows for St. Patricks and now since that holiday has […]

This year the boys love of Christmas has been infectious. I normally decorate for Christmas, but this year I went extra with all of it. It’s been fun to see them excited when new things come in. Hudson is always looking around making sure it all looks picture perfect and making suggestions for where we […]

DIY, happy holidays

Christmas Wreaths with Dollar Tree finds!

I don’t do a ton of indoor decorating for Halloween, but I do make sure to get the front yard/porch area spooky for the boys. Pumpkins, mums, spider webs, oh my! I love decorating the front door as well. In years past I would put up big googly eyes and white crepe paper to make […]

DIY Day of the Dead Wreath

easy diy bow wreath

One of my favorite parts of the holiday season is getting my craft one! Typically I stress out during the holidays and this year I tried to nip that in the bud by doing all of my holiday shopping right after Thanksgiving and then decorating the house the first week of December. Now that all […]

DIY Bow-tiful Wreath

get inspired with our own home tour

My living room is one of the rooms that evolved drastically from when we first moved one. Originally I painted the walls chocolate brown and did accents of white, blue and orange. That lasted maybe 2 years.

Our dining room sat empty for months. Okay maybe it was empty for just a handful of weeks and then we couldn’t take it anymore and put in a folding table and plastic outdoor chairs, but in my mind that was still empty.

On the main floor of our house we have a Florida room. Being that it’s a Florida room it is a considered a 3 season room, because there is no heat in the room. The previous owners used it as an indoor patio with outdoor furniture and it looked like this when we moved in.
