HOW-TO-MAKE-AN-EASY-DIY-OUTDOOR-MOVIE-SCREEN-WITH-STAND

Fall is the perfect season to host an outdoor movie night in your backyard! It’s that time of year when outdoor furniture is still outside and it gets dark earlier than the summer which means your little kiddos can enjoy the movie night as well. It’s so nice to transform your backyard with cozy blankets, […]

round up of budget friendly bar carts

Can you believe it’s already November? Before we know it Thanks No. 1 Modern bar cart with patterned sides that looks great as is, but would also look amazing painted a pop of color! Plus it’s only $157. No. 2 This lucite bar cart is a personal favorite of mine. Look at those chic lines! […]

For the longest time our backyard was mainly just grass and a little small area where we laid down some pavers so that we could set out a little plastic table/chairs during the summer. Not exactly ideal for entertaining. For the past couple of years we have wanted to build a deck and enjoy the […]

One of my favorite parts of the latest nursery project that I shared with you is the artwork above the day bed! We had already splurged on custom soft goods aka all of the drapery and pillows. I wanted to find something special and different, but also didn’t have the budget for an original piece […]

A couple of years ago artist, Lacee Swan emailed me and introduced herself to me and shared her beautiful work with me. I loved her fashion inspired watercolor prints. They worked perfectly with my design style. She has quite an array to pick from, which means you could fill a whole gallery wall with them […]

I need to let you in a little secret! Jon despises mostly everything on Bravo. The Housewives? He just doesn’t get why I watch. Why are they so mean to each other, blah, blah, blah. The Andy Cohen show? Nope. We would rather just go to sleep then sit thru it. I, on the other […]

I love nothing more than picking up a new piece of artwork. Something that makes me smile and brings me insane amounts of joy! I find that sourcing artwork for kids spaces can be tricky. You don’t want anything too cheesy and you don’t want to get too matchy/matchy with a theme. It can be […]

overstock artwork holding pineapples

Ok, so I stumbled upon some of the cutest artwork pieces that would work amazingly in a beach house. Now, I just need a beach house! Haha! I know that typically beach house artwork is full of sea shells, and nautical themes and let’s face it a ton of signs that say, Beach or Beach […]

ON THE BLOG

My living room is one of the rooms that evolved drastically from when we first moved one. Originally I painted the walls chocolate brown and did accents of white, blue and orange. That lasted maybe 2 years.

Our dining room sat empty for months. Okay maybe it was empty for just a handful of weeks and then we couldn’t take it anymore and put in a folding table and plastic outdoor chairs, but in my mind that was still empty.

On the main floor of our house we have a Florida room. Being that it’s a Florida room it is a considered a 3 season room, because there is no heat in the room. The previous owners used it as an indoor patio with outdoor furniture and it looked like this when we moved in.
