Fall is the perfect season to host an outdoor movie night in your backyard! It’s that time of year when outdoor furniture is still outside and it gets dark earlier than the summer which means your little kiddos can enjoy the movie night as well. It’s so nice to transform your backyard with cozy blankets, […]

Can you believe it’s already November? Before we know it Thanks No. 1 Modern bar cart with patterned sides that looks great as is, but would also look amazing painted a pop of color! Plus it’s only $157. No. 2 This lucite bar cart is a personal favorite of mine. Look at those chic lines! […]

For the longest time our backyard was mainly just grass and a little small area where we laid down some pavers so that we could set out a little plastic table/chairs during the summer. Not exactly ideal for entertaining. For the past couple of years we have wanted to build a deck and enjoy the […]

A couple of years ago I learned about artist Gina Julian from Gen of Pencil & Paper Co and it was love at first site! I started following Gina on instagram and learned she was just as lovely as her beautiful pieces of art. Over Christmas she started selling prints of her Op Art pieces […]

Treat Yo Self: Gina Julian Op Art

A couple of years ago I started venturing into the clothing area of thrift stores. Normally I only focus on home decor items, but when the tablecloth/linens area is next to clothing you start to wander. I never really have luck with clothing, but I do find gems in the handbag area! It can be […]

Treat Yo Self: Colorful Straw Bags

It’s Fall, which means we have been inundated with muted colors like tan, olive green, blush and then some richer colors like wine, marigold, copper and dark orange. All are pretty colors that work perfectly well for Thanksgiving tablescapes, but I was inspired by the changing of the leaves and how colorful it is. The […]

Friday Finds…

I love nothing more than picking up a new piece of artwork. Something that makes me smile and brings me insane amounts of joy! I find that sourcing artwork for kids spaces can be tricky. You don’t want anything too cheesy and you don’t want to get too matchy/matchy with a theme. It can be […]

Artist Spotlight: Leslie Mitchell

I’m officially all done with my Christmas shopping! Whew! I took advantage of Black Friday and Cyber Monday and got it done. I had the best intentions to do a round up of Cyber Monday sales, but Asher had another idea when he got a fever over the weekend and then on Monday we found […]

Christmas Stocking Round Up

A couple of years ago I shared my sister’s apartment. At the time she had moved in with her then boyfriend, now husband. They moved from a studio to a one bedroom and I never shared the reveal of the one bedroom! They just moved again to a two bedroom, which we are currently working […]

Client Project: NYC Colorful Apartment Tour

get inspired with our own home tour

My living room is one of the rooms that evolved drastically from when we first moved one. Originally I painted the walls chocolate brown and did accents of white, blue and orange. That lasted maybe 2 years.

Our dining room sat empty for months. Okay maybe it was empty for just a handful of weeks and then we couldn’t take it anymore and put in a folding table and plastic outdoor chairs, but in my mind that was still empty.

On the main floor of our house we have a Florida room. Being that it’s a Florida room it is a considered a 3 season room, because there is no heat in the room. The previous owners used it as an indoor patio with outdoor furniture and it looked like this when we moved in.
