Fall is the perfect season to host an outdoor movie night in your backyard! It’s that time of year when outdoor furniture is still outside and it gets dark earlier than the summer which means your little kiddos can enjoy the movie night as well. It’s so nice to transform your backyard with cozy blankets, […]

round up of budget friendly bar carts

Can you believe it’s already November? Before we know it Thanks No. 1 Modern bar cart with patterned sides that looks great as is, but would also look amazing painted a pop of color! Plus it’s only $157. No. 2 This lucite bar cart is a personal favorite of mine. Look at those chic lines! […]

For the longest time our backyard was mainly just grass and a little small area where we laid down some pavers so that we could set out a little plastic table/chairs during the summer. Not exactly ideal for entertaining. For the past couple of years we have wanted to build a deck and enjoy the […]

I have always loved to bake. Cookies, brownies and banana bread are always on my baking rotation. In the Fall I do love to bake an apple crumb pie, but have never ventured into other fruit. Peach season has been upon us and I have been so many of them! Asher loves all sorts of […]

Effortless Peach Cobbler

chocolate chip meringue cookies

For the past couple of years I have hosted a cookie exchange during the holiday season. I’m always in it to win it, which means I end up baking a lot of trial runs of cookies before picking out what I’m going to bake for the cookie exchange. This year I went in with a […]

Effortless Chocolate Chip Meringue Cookies

the best holiday cookie

In my day I have been know to go on many bakery hops. What is a bakery hop? Well, it’s pretty similar to a bar hop where people go out on the town and check out different bars. Except instead of bars I drag people around to try out different bakeries and have been known […]

The Best Christmas Cookie!

diy crazy milkshake

Summer is coming to an end and I have been running out of activities to do with the boys. One of their favorite stops this summer was heading to a local ice cream shoppe where they make those extreme milkshakes complete with a piece of pie! We always had fun when we went, but the […]

DIY Extreme Milkshakes

colorful sprinkles mix

Ok, so this has absolutely nothing to do with design, but I just had to share. Yesterday I shared a pic of my Oscar night snack: I got comments and direct messages about where people could buy the sprinkles! Sadly at the time I had no where to direct people, because I  had made it […]

Sprinkle Mix

pumpkin cereal treats

I’ve really been trying to step up my mom game especially when it comes to Hudson’s school activities. I never signed up to be class mom so, I missed out on that, but I still try to go above and beyond when it comes to all of the class parties. Today they are celebrating Thanksgiving […]

Pumpkin Pie from Rice Krispies!

Valentine’s day is quickly approaching and I thought it would be fun to tackle an effortless dessert. I have dreams of having time to actually make cookies from scratch, but I’m a busy lady and that hasn’t happened lately. I always have ready made cookie dough in my refrigerator, but this time I decided to […]

Chocolate Dipped Chocolate Chip Cookies

Ok, I hope you guys aren’t tired yet of my Tulum vacation recap. Hopefully you are enduring the snow like me and it’s a nice little escape. There was just so much to photograph and share with you all! If you are like me than you simply eat dinner to get to dessert. I have […]

Sweet Spots in Tulum

get inspired with our own home tour

My living room is one of the rooms that evolved drastically from when we first moved one. Originally I painted the walls chocolate brown and did accents of white, blue and orange. That lasted maybe 2 years.

Our dining room sat empty for months. Okay maybe it was empty for just a handful of weeks and then we couldn’t take it anymore and put in a folding table and plastic outdoor chairs, but in my mind that was still empty.

On the main floor of our house we have a Florida room. Being that it’s a Florida room it is a considered a 3 season room, because there is no heat in the room. The previous owners used it as an indoor patio with outdoor furniture and it looked like this when we moved in.
