HOW-TO-MAKE-AN-EASY-DIY-OUTDOOR-MOVIE-SCREEN-WITH-STAND

Fall is the perfect season to host an outdoor movie night in your backyard! It’s that time of year when outdoor furniture is still outside and it gets dark earlier than the summer which means your little kiddos can enjoy the movie night as well. It’s so nice to transform your backyard with cozy blankets, […]

round up of budget friendly bar carts

Can you believe it’s already November? Before we know it Thanks No. 1 Modern bar cart with patterned sides that looks great as is, but would also look amazing painted a pop of color! Plus it’s only $157. No. 2 This lucite bar cart is a personal favorite of mine. Look at those chic lines! […]

For the longest time our backyard was mainly just grass and a little small area where we laid down some pavers so that we could set out a little plastic table/chairs during the summer. Not exactly ideal for entertaining. For the past couple of years we have wanted to build a deck and enjoy the […]

Both boys were under the weather this weekend. We stayed home and attempted to feel better from their cases of bronchitis. Not fun! So, no fun weekend photos this week. Instead here is a round up of easy DIY gifts you can tackle easily before Christmas. Here is great round up of some of my […]

EASY DIY GIFTS

As I sit at my desk and look at the window it’s already dark outside and it’s not even 5pm yet! While I love the Fall season the only damper is the lack of sunshine in the late afternoon. Of course it does have it’s perks as well. I find that I can get Hudson […]

From yesterday’s reveal  I have received a bunch of emails about the mirrors and where they can be purchased. Well, the short answer is that they can’t be purchased because they were a DIY project. The longer answer is the DIY steps that I will be going over in this post. It was actually a […]

DIY Fretwork Mirrors

A long time ago I had Jon build me a Parson style console for our living room. Everything on the market was a bit too skinny for my liking so we had to go the DIY route. A quick trip to Home Depot for some 2’x4′ and my amazing husband came up with this: We […]

DIY Grasscloth Console

A couple of months ago I started to work on a former clients basement. It’s almost finished with all of the main pieces sorted out  and it’s now time to finish up with accessories. Until the final photos are ready I thought I would share one of my favorite parts of the space. When you […]

DIY X-Bench Upgrade

How pretty are these new colored burlap lampshades? Wouldn’t they take your plain jane lamp base to another level. Love this look. I’m not in love with their $79price tag. $79 isn’t an extremely high price, but I think you can easily recreate the look for less. Step 1: Pick up plain white drum shade. […]

ON THE BLOG

My living room is one of the rooms that evolved drastically from when we first moved one. Originally I painted the walls chocolate brown and did accents of white, blue and orange. That lasted maybe 2 years.

Our dining room sat empty for months. Okay maybe it was empty for just a handful of weeks and then we couldn’t take it anymore and put in a folding table and plastic outdoor chairs, but in my mind that was still empty.

On the main floor of our house we have a Florida room. Being that it’s a Florida room it is a considered a 3 season room, because there is no heat in the room. The previous owners used it as an indoor patio with outdoor furniture and it looked like this when we moved in.
