HOW-TO-MAKE-AN-EASY-DIY-OUTDOOR-MOVIE-SCREEN-WITH-STAND

Fall is the perfect season to host an outdoor movie night in your backyard! It’s that time of year when outdoor furniture is still outside and it gets dark earlier than the summer which means your little kiddos can enjoy the movie night as well. It’s so nice to transform your backyard with cozy blankets, […]

round up of budget friendly bar carts

Can you believe it’s already November? Before we know it Thanks No. 1 Modern bar cart with patterned sides that looks great as is, but would also look amazing painted a pop of color! Plus it’s only $157. No. 2 This lucite bar cart is a personal favorite of mine. Look at those chic lines! […]

For the longest time our backyard was mainly just grass and a little small area where we laid down some pavers so that we could set out a little plastic table/chairs during the summer. Not exactly ideal for entertaining. For the past couple of years we have wanted to build a deck and enjoy the […]

fall pattern on rugs

Fall is finally here! Things were getting a bit confusing in NY, because we had so many warm days where I was still rocking shorts and my flowers were completely confused with my hydrangeas blooming all over again. The end of October has bought the crisp weather and my sweaters are out and hot cider […]

Fall Inspired Rug Round Up

diy leopard pumpkin project

I have gone a little pumpkin crazy this year. I can’t help myself. Every time I go into Trader Joes I end up picking up one or two or twelve. They are only $3.99 a piece and they are a great size and shape. I have big plans to carve into a bunch of them […]

FALL ESSENTIALS FOR HOME

I’m not sure what is going on with the weather in NY, because one day I’m boiling and wishing I had put on shorts instead of pants and then other days I’m wrapped in a blanket the entire day because it’s oh so cold out! I love Fall so I’m hoping the chilly days are […]

Treat Yo Self: Cozy Fall Essentials

halloween wreath with spider

This weekend I decided to tackle our front stoop and zhush it up a bit. I don’t normally do a lot of seasonal decorating. Not because I don’t like it, but because I can never find the time for it. I also don’t have a ton of storage in my house so, having to store […]

Fall Front Door Decor

i am freaking cold essentials

The weather in NY has still not fully turned into Fall, but the days are getting chillier. Our house has been super cold this week and I have found myself moving around the house with my laptop so that I can set up by a window where the sun is shining. When that doesn’t work […]

Fall Essentials

french manicure polish combinations

Another weekend that has quickly come and gone! I wish I could tell you that I accomplished a massive to-do list worth of projects, but alas the most I accomplished was a new fall manicure! The weather was pretty miserable this weekend with gray skies and lots of rain. I was lucky enough to have […]

Fall Manicure Nail Polish Picks!

delicous corn chowder

These past couple of days have been cold and dreary. Like those days where getting out of bed seems like the biggest feat. I was looking for a little something to pick me up and make me excited about Fall. It’s a season that I totally adore, but the gray days that occur are not […]

Effortless Corn Chowder

As I sit at my desk and look at the window it’s already dark outside and it’s not even 5pm yet! While I love the Fall season the only damper is the lack of sunshine in the late afternoon. Of course it does have it’s perks as well. I find that I can get Hudson […]

ON THE BLOG

My living room is one of the rooms that evolved drastically from when we first moved one. Originally I painted the walls chocolate brown and did accents of white, blue and orange. That lasted maybe 2 years.

Our dining room sat empty for months. Okay maybe it was empty for just a handful of weeks and then we couldn’t take it anymore and put in a folding table and plastic outdoor chairs, but in my mind that was still empty.

On the main floor of our house we have a Florida room. Being that it’s a Florida room it is a considered a 3 season room, because there is no heat in the room. The previous owners used it as an indoor patio with outdoor furniture and it looked like this when we moved in.
