HOW-TO-MAKE-AN-EASY-DIY-OUTDOOR-MOVIE-SCREEN-WITH-STAND

Fall is the perfect season to host an outdoor movie night in your backyard! It’s that time of year when outdoor furniture is still outside and it gets dark earlier than the summer which means your little kiddos can enjoy the movie night as well. It’s so nice to transform your backyard with cozy blankets, […]

round up of budget friendly bar carts

Can you believe it’s already November? Before we know it Thanks No. 1 Modern bar cart with patterned sides that looks great as is, but would also look amazing painted a pop of color! Plus it’s only $157. No. 2 This lucite bar cart is a personal favorite of mine. Look at those chic lines! […]

For the longest time our backyard was mainly just grass and a little small area where we laid down some pavers so that we could set out a little plastic table/chairs during the summer. Not exactly ideal for entertaining. For the past couple of years we have wanted to build a deck and enjoy the […]

There is nothing better than coming in from a chilly day and wrapping your hands around a warm mug of hot cocoa. So, when Home Decorators Collection ® contacted me to part of their HDC Holiday Home Tour with some of my blogger friends I knew exactly what I would do! I love a good […]

great holiday gifts for men

I always find Jon to be one of the hardest people to shop for. He never really wants anything. So, I find it hard to find something that wows him. Something that didn’t even know he couldn’t live without it. There must be others that are in need of finding that perfect something! Hopefully this […]

FALL ESSENTIALS FOR HOME

I’m not sure what is going on with the weather in NY, because one day I’m boiling and wishing I had put on shorts instead of pants and then other days I’m wrapped in a blanket the entire day because it’s oh so cold out! I love Fall so I’m hoping the chilly days are […]

Treat Yo Self: Cozy Fall Essentials

halloween wreath with spider

This weekend I decided to tackle our front stoop and zhush it up a bit. I don’t normally do a lot of seasonal decorating. Not because I don’t like it, but because I can never find the time for it. I also don’t have a ton of storage in my house so, having to store […]

Fall Front Door Decor

One of my favorite things about any get together is the appetizers. You see I love food, but I eat like a bird. I just like grabbing little nibbles here or there so for me there is nothing better than a spread of appetizers that I can choose from! A little something sweet, a little […]

How to Host a Cookie Exchange

get inspired with our own home tour

ON THE BLOG

My living room is one of the rooms that evolved drastically from when we first moved one. Originally I painted the walls chocolate brown and did accents of white, blue and orange. That lasted maybe 2 years.

Our dining room sat empty for months. Okay maybe it was empty for just a handful of weeks and then we couldn’t take it anymore and put in a folding table and plastic outdoor chairs, but in my mind that was still empty.

On the main floor of our house we have a Florida room. Being that it’s a Florida room it is a considered a 3 season room, because there is no heat in the room. The previous owners used it as an indoor patio with outdoor furniture and it looked like this when we moved in.
