HOW-TO-MAKE-AN-EASY-DIY-OUTDOOR-MOVIE-SCREEN-WITH-STAND

Fall is the perfect season to host an outdoor movie night in your backyard! It’s that time of year when outdoor furniture is still outside and it gets dark earlier than the summer which means your little kiddos can enjoy the movie night as well. It’s so nice to transform your backyard with cozy blankets, […]

round up of budget friendly bar carts

Can you believe it’s already November? Before we know it Thanks No. 1 Modern bar cart with patterned sides that looks great as is, but would also look amazing painted a pop of color! Plus it’s only $157. No. 2 This lucite bar cart is a personal favorite of mine. Look at those chic lines! […]

For the longest time our backyard was mainly just grass and a little small area where we laid down some pavers so that we could set out a little plastic table/chairs during the summer. Not exactly ideal for entertaining. For the past couple of years we have wanted to build a deck and enjoy the […]

a-round-up-of-smiley-face-fashion-and-home-products

I’m not sure but smiley faces have been on my mind lately. Nowadays I’m sure everything sees a smiley face and thinks emojis, but back in the day, they were one of my favorite things to just doodle! I did a deep dive a couple of days ago trying to see what was out there […]

front-porch-goals

Fall is in the air and while I don’t enjoy anything pumpkin related when it comes to food I do adore the color and shape!!! I’m not a huge seasonal decorator. I tend to go a bit nuts around Christmas time, but I don’t do a lot of swapping out of items throughout the year. […]

FROM-SOLD-TO-HOME-HOME-UPDATES

Doing a gut renovation on a home is quite the undertaking. I keep having the movie, The Money Pit strolling through my mind. There have been hiccups along the way that have made us need to dig into our pockets and get boring things like a new boiler and run new electrical throughout! It’s not […]

easy-diy-chinoiserie-panels

Chinoiserie is a style in art that reflects Chinese influence which is heavily decorated and patterned filled. It’s a classic design that I love injecting into my designs. It might be a small dose with a fretwork filled piece of furniture or something more massive like large scale chinoiserie wall panels like the beauties designed […]

I love nothing more than picking up a new piece of artwork. Something that makes me smile and brings me insane amounts of joy! I find that sourcing artwork for kids spaces can be tricky. You don’t want anything too cheesy and you don’t want to get too matchy/matchy with a theme. It can be […]

NORDSTROM ANNIVERSARY HOME FINDS

The summer after High School graduation I started working at Nordstrom. It became by primary part time job all throughout college. I started out in Kids shoes, then moved over Infants and Toddlers and finished up in Home. Working with customers and learning about Nordstrom’s high customer service standards was a great experience. I always […]

color combo blush, navy and sage

Springtime! It might not be here quite yet, but I have been able to get a big dose of it in my designs. Lately one of my favorite color combinations has been blush and navy. I’ve been loving the pairing of the oh so pale pink and the dark rich blue. It’s so fresh and […]

ON THE BLOG

My living room is one of the rooms that evolved drastically from when we first moved one. Originally I painted the walls chocolate brown and did accents of white, blue and orange. That lasted maybe 2 years.

Our dining room sat empty for months. Okay maybe it was empty for just a handful of weeks and then we couldn’t take it anymore and put in a folding table and plastic outdoor chairs, but in my mind that was still empty.

On the main floor of our house we have a Florida room. Being that it’s a Florida room it is a considered a 3 season room, because there is no heat in the room. The previous owners used it as an indoor patio with outdoor furniture and it looked like this when we moved in.
