HOW-TO-MAKE-AN-EASY-DIY-OUTDOOR-MOVIE-SCREEN-WITH-STAND

Fall is the perfect season to host an outdoor movie night in your backyard! It’s that time of year when outdoor furniture is still outside and it gets dark earlier than the summer which means your little kiddos can enjoy the movie night as well. It’s so nice to transform your backyard with cozy blankets, […]

round up of budget friendly bar carts

Can you believe it’s already November? Before we know it Thanks No. 1 Modern bar cart with patterned sides that looks great as is, but would also look amazing painted a pop of color! Plus it’s only $157. No. 2 This lucite bar cart is a personal favorite of mine. Look at those chic lines! […]

For the longest time our backyard was mainly just grass and a little small area where we laid down some pavers so that we could set out a little plastic table/chairs during the summer. Not exactly ideal for entertaining. For the past couple of years we have wanted to build a deck and enjoy the […]

etsy turkish rugs

You all know I love a dose of vintage in a room. My favorite vintage item to use in a room is a rug. Not just any old rug, but a vintage kilim rug. Most times they come in odd sizes so I typically use them in bathrooms and laundry rooms where I don’t need […]

Etsy Spotlight: Khalkedon Kilims

Hi All, Hope you all had an amazing weekend! Ours was filled with a little work and a good amount of relaxation which is always nice. I started Saturday bright and early at Ikea picking up some items for a client. Of course I made a little pit stop at the pick and mix candy […]

Kitchen design by IBB Design

-I’m happy to see I’m not the only one obsessed with pattern from Designers Guild. I used it in my sister’s apt and loved seeing it used in paper and fabric form in this caterer’s kitchen designed by IBB Design. -I’m in love with these flats. A. They are flats and who has time for […]

Pattern Play: Preppy Green & Pink

A trip to Target is never quite just a trip to Target. I always go in for diapers and end up food shopping, getting household items, picking up clothes and then oh yeah maybe a home decor item or two. I have seriously never had a $20 Target bill. Let’s add another zero and then […]

Top 5 Nate Berkus Finds

For a long time I have toyed with the idea of producing my own line of pillows. Of course I don’t know how to sew and have way too many business ideas in my head and not enough hours in the day, but that hasn’t stopped me from sketching designs in a notebook dedicated to […]

Treat Yo Self: Pillows!

I like to think I’m pretty in the know when it comes to shopping for interior design goods. I always know the best places to score some good deals, but every once in a while I get schooled and someone shows me a new gem. Case in point when I was out with a new […]

ON THE BLOG

My living room is one of the rooms that evolved drastically from when we first moved one. Originally I painted the walls chocolate brown and did accents of white, blue and orange. That lasted maybe 2 years.

Our dining room sat empty for months. Okay maybe it was empty for just a handful of weeks and then we couldn’t take it anymore and put in a folding table and plastic outdoor chairs, but in my mind that was still empty.

On the main floor of our house we have a Florida room. Being that it’s a Florida room it is a considered a 3 season room, because there is no heat in the room. The previous owners used it as an indoor patio with outdoor furniture and it looked like this when we moved in.
