Fall is the perfect season to host an outdoor movie night in your backyard! It’s that time of year when outdoor furniture is still outside and it gets dark earlier than the summer which means your little kiddos can enjoy the movie night as well. It’s so nice to transform your backyard with cozy blankets, […]

round up of budget friendly bar carts

Can you believe it’s already November? Before we know it Thanks No. 1 Modern bar cart with patterned sides that looks great as is, but would also look amazing painted a pop of color! Plus it’s only $157. No. 2 This lucite bar cart is a personal favorite of mine. Look at those chic lines! […]

For the longest time our backyard was mainly just grass and a little small area where we laid down some pavers so that we could set out a little plastic table/chairs during the summer. Not exactly ideal for entertaining. For the past couple of years we have wanted to build a deck and enjoy the […]

It’s a super exciting sale where the majority of the items are 30% off retail prices and after August 5th the prices go back up to their normal sale price. In college I worked at Nordstrom and the Anniversary sale time […]

long island beaches

Ah! This weekend I got to wear shorts, which hasn’t happened in the youngest time! It was 70 degrees and the sun was out! So, I did what an insane person would do and told Jon we needed to go to the beach! We packed up the kids and Hudson’s class pet, Crabby and off […]

weekend recap

Scenes from my weekend…

loft clothing finds

We had a cold rainy weekend here in New York, which meant we didn’t do anything really exciting. We spent time at home playing with the boys and introducing them to Hocus Pocus. We did venture out to the mall on Sunday to let them run around a little. So, while the boys rain around […]

Weekend Shopping!

The summer after High School graduation I started working at Nordstrom. It became by primary part time job all throughout college. I started out in Kids shoes, then moved over Infants and Toddlers and finished up in Home. Working with customers and learning about Nordstrom’s high customer service standards was a great experience. I always […]

This week has flown by for me. So much going on with lots of exciting design meetings, which I love, but I’m exhausted! Here is what caught my eye this week: -I adore Lulie Wallace’s art pieces, but I don’t have the budget for them. I do have the budget for her amazing plates. I […]

Friday Finds…

Ah Monday! Here we are once again. This weekend we tackled some home projects. We are getting ready to re-list our house and 7 plus years of living here has done it’s damage to our pretty trim. So, we have been using wood filler to fix any chips, sanding and this re-painting! We also finished […]

Scenes from my weekend…

nordtrom anniversary sale

Throughout college I worked at Nordstrom. I started out in kids shoes, then moved to Gift Gallery (Home) and finally finished up at Infants and Toddlers. No matter what department I was in the most important time of the year was Nordstrom’s Anniversary Sale. Loyal customers planned their vacations around the date. It was always […]

Nordstrom Anniversary Sale

get inspired with our own home tour

My living room is one of the rooms that evolved drastically from when we first moved one. Originally I painted the walls chocolate brown and did accents of white, blue and orange. That lasted maybe 2 years.

Our dining room sat empty for months. Okay maybe it was empty for just a handful of weeks and then we couldn’t take it anymore and put in a folding table and plastic outdoor chairs, but in my mind that was still empty.

On the main floor of our house we have a Florida room. Being that it’s a Florida room it is a considered a 3 season room, because there is no heat in the room. The previous owners used it as an indoor patio with outdoor furniture and it looked like this when we moved in.
