HOW-TO-MAKE-AN-EASY-DIY-OUTDOOR-MOVIE-SCREEN-WITH-STAND

Fall is the perfect season to host an outdoor movie night in your backyard! It’s that time of year when outdoor furniture is still outside and it gets dark earlier than the summer which means your little kiddos can enjoy the movie night as well. It’s so nice to transform your backyard with cozy blankets, […]

round up of budget friendly bar carts

Can you believe it’s already November? Before we know it Thanks No. 1 Modern bar cart with patterned sides that looks great as is, but would also look amazing painted a pop of color! Plus it’s only $157. No. 2 This lucite bar cart is a personal favorite of mine. Look at those chic lines! […]

For the longest time our backyard was mainly just grass and a little small area where we laid down some pavers so that we could set out a little plastic table/chairs during the summer. Not exactly ideal for entertaining. For the past couple of years we have wanted to build a deck and enjoy the […]

floral, pink, citron and taupe fabric

You all know that I adore color! One of the first things people say when they walk into my home is that they love how colorful it is. At first I can’t really tell if they are being polite and just think I’m daring aka nuts, because the norm with most people is that beige […]

crane and canopy bedding

You all know that I’m a huge fan of Crane & Canopy. They are seriously the dreamiest bedding I have ever owned. I was hooked at my first duvet and now it’s the only bedding I will use on my bed and I gift it to all family members for holidays or birthdays. Over the […]

New Additions to Crane & Canopy

yellow and blue fabric pattern play

This pattern play wasn’t an official client project, but I was playing around with my moodboard and I fell in love with the combo and I had to share it. The fruit and floral fabric is Campagne and it was my main inspiration point. I told you I was on a fruit pattern kick and […]

Making friends as an adult can be super hard. Luckily having a blog makes things a little easier. Last year while I was waiting for Hudson outside of his class a fellow mom (Hi Melissa!) was just leaving her mommy and me class and spotted me in the hallway. She was a blog reader and […]

preppy designer emily mccarthy

This was a fun pattern play to tackle because I got to go a little bolder than I normally do. Correction I would go this bold in my own home, but with clients I tend to tone it down a little. This pattern play though was for a client requesting a little help in zhushing […]

color combo blush, navy and sage

Springtime! It might not be here quite yet, but I have been able to get a big dose of it in my designs. Lately one of my favorite color combinations has been blush and navy. I’ve been loving the pairing of the oh so pale pink and the dark rich blue. It’s so fresh and […]

ON THE BLOG

My living room is one of the rooms that evolved drastically from when we first moved one. Originally I painted the walls chocolate brown and did accents of white, blue and orange. That lasted maybe 2 years.

Our dining room sat empty for months. Okay maybe it was empty for just a handful of weeks and then we couldn’t take it anymore and put in a folding table and plastic outdoor chairs, but in my mind that was still empty.

On the main floor of our house we have a Florida room. Being that it’s a Florida room it is a considered a 3 season room, because there is no heat in the room. The previous owners used it as an indoor patio with outdoor furniture and it looked like this when we moved in.
