HOW-TO-MAKE-AN-EASY-DIY-OUTDOOR-MOVIE-SCREEN-WITH-STAND

Fall is the perfect season to host an outdoor movie night in your backyard! It’s that time of year when outdoor furniture is still outside and it gets dark earlier than the summer which means your little kiddos can enjoy the movie night as well. It’s so nice to transform your backyard with cozy blankets, […]

round up of budget friendly bar carts

Can you believe it’s already November? Before we know it Thanks No. 1 Modern bar cart with patterned sides that looks great as is, but would also look amazing painted a pop of color! Plus it’s only $157. No. 2 This lucite bar cart is a personal favorite of mine. Look at those chic lines! […]

For the longest time our backyard was mainly just grass and a little small area where we laid down some pavers so that we could set out a little plastic table/chairs during the summer. Not exactly ideal for entertaining. For the past couple of years we have wanted to build a deck and enjoy the […]

Ah I love social media. Due to a connect on twitter I was asked to be part of the NYDC table at NY’s DIFFA event.   When I was tweeting live at that event I spent my hour with the director of marketing, Alix .   Well a couple of weeks ago Kravet was looking […]

Hi All,   So sorry for the late post today. I had an early meeting with my seamstress at a clients home and just got back a couple of minutes ago. I’m already in love with the chair she is slip covering and I can’t wait to share! This client project was a quick one. […]

about me, weekend recap

Weekend Recap: Brooklyn Flea

A couple of weeks ago my friend, Amy (which I met via twitter!) had her apt featured on Poppy Talk.   I was so thrilled to see her old home and stopped  immediately to save one image into my inspiration file. I was convinced it was a window and then I kept reading and saw […]

I stumbled upon designer Ellen Hamilton work a couple of days when searching for an image on google.   I always love when one click of the mouse leads to another that leads to another, etc.   I had to share my latest fascination with you all. You know how I love a good dose […]

Welcome Devon Baer Designs

I was racking my brain last night trying to figure out what I was going to blog about. I wanted to celebrate Earth day, but wasn’t sure what I should discuss. I try to do my part in being green. Walk when I can, always turning off lights, unplug things when we aren’t using  them, […]

Happy Earth Day!

If I could I have one fabric line to use in every room in my house I would love it to be China Seas.   I love each and everyone of their patterns, but my favorite has to be AGA. Won’t I don’t love is the price tag so I don’t think my dreams of […]

ON THE BLOG

My living room is one of the rooms that evolved drastically from when we first moved one. Originally I painted the walls chocolate brown and did accents of white, blue and orange. That lasted maybe 2 years.

Our dining room sat empty for months. Okay maybe it was empty for just a handful of weeks and then we couldn’t take it anymore and put in a folding table and plastic outdoor chairs, but in my mind that was still empty.

On the main floor of our house we have a Florida room. Being that it’s a Florida room it is a considered a 3 season room, because there is no heat in the room. The previous owners used it as an indoor patio with outdoor furniture and it looked like this when we moved in.
