HOW-TO-MAKE-AN-EASY-DIY-OUTDOOR-MOVIE-SCREEN-WITH-STAND

Fall is the perfect season to host an outdoor movie night in your backyard! It’s that time of year when outdoor furniture is still outside and it gets dark earlier than the summer which means your little kiddos can enjoy the movie night as well. It’s so nice to transform your backyard with cozy blankets, […]

round up of budget friendly bar carts

Can you believe it’s already November? Before we know it Thanks No. 1 Modern bar cart with patterned sides that looks great as is, but would also look amazing painted a pop of color! Plus it’s only $157. No. 2 This lucite bar cart is a personal favorite of mine. Look at those chic lines! […]

For the longest time our backyard was mainly just grass and a little small area where we laid down some pavers so that we could set out a little plastic table/chairs during the summer. Not exactly ideal for entertaining. For the past couple of years we have wanted to build a deck and enjoy the […]

I have a thing for all things British. Not sure what it is, but I’ve always been fascinated with our neighbors across the pond.  Perhaps it’s just that charming accent, but I’m smitten.  From books to magazines to movies I try and get a daily fix of jolly London.   My latest obsession has become […]

English Arm Rolled Sofas

Totally forgot to mention earlier, but I’m over at La Dolce Vita today. Paloma was sweet enough to invite me to be part of her 10 things I can’t live without series.   Head on over and see why this cookie:   Made it on the list before my family!   I kid I totally […]

10 things I can’t live without…

One of my favorite parts of my most recent project has to be the rug I made. From the very beginning of the project I kept talking about how I was going to make the rug, blah, blah, blah then the time came to actually make it and I freaked out a bit, but in […]

Reveal: UES Living Room

Hi Loves,   I’m surprised I even have my eyelids working this morning. Last week was filled with loads of prep for my sister’s new living room look.   It’s great to do things on budget, but it’s a lot of leg work before hand. I hit multiple thrift stores and IKEA a bunch of […]

Weekend Recap: Install on UES

One of my latest trips to IKEA saw me seeing stripes and it made me quite the happy lady.   Check out some of my favorites:   This little tray quickly made it’s way into my cart. This slightly larger tray reminded me of Kate Spade: The gray/white striped napkins remember me of chic & […]

Seeing stripes

Ok who is coming with me?   How amazing would it be to plan a little getaway to California!   Yes, it would be fun to be on the West Coast, catch some rays and rub elbows with the beautiful people, but my main desire for a California vacation is to go here. It’s a […]

ON THE BLOG

My living room is one of the rooms that evolved drastically from when we first moved one. Originally I painted the walls chocolate brown and did accents of white, blue and orange. That lasted maybe 2 years.

Our dining room sat empty for months. Okay maybe it was empty for just a handful of weeks and then we couldn’t take it anymore and put in a folding table and plastic outdoor chairs, but in my mind that was still empty.

On the main floor of our house we have a Florida room. Being that it’s a Florida room it is a considered a 3 season room, because there is no heat in the room. The previous owners used it as an indoor patio with outdoor furniture and it looked like this when we moved in.
