HOW-TO-MAKE-AN-EASY-DIY-OUTDOOR-MOVIE-SCREEN-WITH-STAND

Fall is the perfect season to host an outdoor movie night in your backyard! It’s that time of year when outdoor furniture is still outside and it gets dark earlier than the summer which means your little kiddos can enjoy the movie night as well. It’s so nice to transform your backyard with cozy blankets, […]

round up of budget friendly bar carts

Can you believe it’s already November? Before we know it Thanks No. 1 Modern bar cart with patterned sides that looks great as is, but would also look amazing painted a pop of color! Plus it’s only $157. No. 2 This lucite bar cart is a personal favorite of mine. Look at those chic lines! […]

For the longest time our backyard was mainly just grass and a little small area where we laid down some pavers so that we could set out a little plastic table/chairs during the summer. Not exactly ideal for entertaining. For the past couple of years we have wanted to build a deck and enjoy the […]

Issue 2 is live!  I’m going to start this gloomy Monday from the comfort of my bed and read it from virtual cover to cover. Let’s all report back afterwards and discuss. 🙂

So the other day when I was online doing blog hopping research I landed on Manhattan Nest. Blog Crush: Manhattan Nest

Had to share one more sneak peek into a current e-decorating design that I’m working on. It’s a bit outside of my design style, but that makes me love it even more. Your home should look like you! Even if you hire a decorator/designer for help make sure your style shines through. If you need […]

Last Chance: Give-away day!

I love Etsy, but I must say the thing that I love most about it is also what I hate. There is just too much. I know it’s a wonderful problem to have, but it can be time consuming to search page after page of items and not find the perfect thing. I figured others […]

Latest obsession of course comes in wallpaper form and Jon will be happy to know that it’s filled with fish and not flowers. It’s designed by Nina Campbellwho holds the key to my heart with wallpaper patterns. Let me tell you she does not disappoint! Close up of fish: I could only find one image […]

Life in a fishbowl

I’ve used caned chairs in a bunch of client projects and every time I find the perfect pair at a thrift store and restore them with paint and fabric I’m always so sad to see them go. Last week the itch for caning would not let up and I needed to get my hands on […]

Caning Conundrum

I know that the image below was only an ad in the latest issue of Ivy & Piper, but for me it was a mini interiors spread. Don’t you just love everything about this Black & Spiro’s ad? My favorite part has to be the colorful lamp shades made out of Otomi fabric. Otomi fabric […]

ON THE BLOG

My living room is one of the rooms that evolved drastically from when we first moved one. Originally I painted the walls chocolate brown and did accents of white, blue and orange. That lasted maybe 2 years.

Our dining room sat empty for months. Okay maybe it was empty for just a handful of weeks and then we couldn’t take it anymore and put in a folding table and plastic outdoor chairs, but in my mind that was still empty.

On the main floor of our house we have a Florida room. Being that it’s a Florida room it is a considered a 3 season room, because there is no heat in the room. The previous owners used it as an indoor patio with outdoor furniture and it looked like this when we moved in.
