My living room is one of the rooms that evolved drastically from when we first moved one. Originally I painted the walls chocolate brown and did accents of white, blue and orange. That lasted maybe 2 years.
Our dining room sat empty for months. Okay maybe it was empty for just a handful of weeks and then we couldn’t take it anymore and put in a folding table and plastic outdoor chairs, but in my mind that was still empty.
On the main floor of our house we have a Florida room. Being that it’s a Florida room it is a considered a 3 season room, because there is no heat in the room. The previous owners used it as an indoor patio with outdoor furniture and it looked like this when we moved in.
Love all the great DIY ideas, especially the IKEA cabinets- genius! Your blog is becoming one of my favorites… thanks for the inspiration!
Thank you Ms. Manor! So sweet.
This amazing room gives me so many ideas for my own living room redo! I love all the different textures and patterns that were used! Any idea where the nesting tables came from?
Not sure. I found the link for the article online so I’m not exactly sure what issue it came from. I will look around and report back if I find anything.
Wow lots of little great DIY ideas in there… especially with the cookie sheets. Who would have THUNK it!?
I have been really loving the color yellow as of lately so these really make the love for yellow that much bigger!
I know! I think I will be recovering all of my cookie sheets this weekend! On the other hand I should probably buy some new ones for this task. 🙂
i agree, love it all ESPECIALLY that artwork as well as the colour scheme, the use of radiator covers…actually everything! So happy and warm x
The ceiling detail is WOW. I am saving that image for the future… thanks for sharing.
I agree. Such an easy and pretty inexpensive detail! Amazing.
Love everything about this room! Thanks for sharing!
Okay…I am SO not a yellow person but I am LOVING this!! It’s amazing!
I know. Yellow has quickly, but all of sudden become one of my favorite shades.
The radiator covers and cookie sheet ideas are genius! What about using the radiator covers (which I think they sell in large sheets) for the chair rail. If you use a bold enough color underneath, it would look great.
What an amazing space! By far my favorite part is the intricate wall woodwork. Gorgeous!
What a gorgeous room! I especially love that rug + those throw pillows + and the light blue ceiling! How special.
I love the colors and all of the details!! I’ll be making those chevron trays soon!!
Yep, definitely love it all!!
I love the yellow! Anything yellow calls me!
Love love love all of the details. The chevron tray and the radiator screen details are amazing – bookmarking for layer!
very bright and pretty, it’d be used in small doses on my end.
The cookie sheets are amazing and I love all of the details… fabulous!

Oh I love it all!! Normally I don’t like yellow and orange together (just too much), but that looks wonderful! I love it all. Its bright, but for some reason it isn’t overwhelming. Love!
This room really is perfection. I loved your recap of it!
Hope all is well, I owe you an e-mail!
Wow, so gorgeous! I love every single detail! Oooh, and I think my dad still has my grandfather’s army cot in the basement…
I love it! Does anyone know where you can buy big sheets of radiator cover like that?
I absolutely love this. It’s helping me get a ton of product ideas for people with an eclectic style. Thank you so much!
