So, here goes:
1. I married my first serious boyfriend. We’ll be married 3 years this January, but have been together for 9 years!
2. I love 99 cent stores. I can’t stop myself from going into them. I always find great items and even incorporated 99 cent frames into my wedding as table numbers. I even found 99 cent stores while on vacation in Egypt and Italy.
3. I have world famous brownies that I won’t give out the secret recipe to. My secret: I actually got the recipe from someone else and they are actually also on a box of brownies!
4. I treat my dogs like my children. I even find myself comparing them to friends children.
5. I want to quit my day job and try to start my own decorating/event planning business. Hence the name of my blog. I love interior design and have always wanted to work for myself. I’m a complete chicken. I’m dying to get business cards designed and give it a shot. I guess part 5.a. I have a slight obsession with business cards. I love being nosy and seeing what other people’s cards look like.
6. I love love love TV! While on vacation in St. Lucia for our Honeymoon. I called ahead of time and requested a TV to be put into our private cottage. We had to pay extra, but it was worth it. 🙂
7. I have a slight obsession with buying milk glass. I can’t leave a thrift store without purchasing a piece. Right now my collection is over flowing in my kitchen until my Dining Room china cabinet gets delivered and it will move there.
Thanks for thinking of me and for adding me to you friend list. I’ve added you to mine. I love your blog! I’ve done this tag a few times so I’ve attached couple of links here. I’m running out of things to say I’m so uninteresting!

ON THE BLOG
My living room is one of the rooms that evolved drastically from when we first moved one. Originally I painted the walls chocolate brown and did accents of white, blue and orange. That lasted maybe 2 years.
Our dining room sat empty for months. Okay maybe it was empty for just a handful of weeks and then we couldn’t take it anymore and put in a folding table and plastic outdoor chairs, but in my mind that was still empty.
On the main floor of our house we have a Florida room. Being that it’s a Florida room it is a considered a 3 season room, because there is no heat in the room. The previous owners used it as an indoor patio with outdoor furniture and it looked like this when we moved in.
In our new home, the basement was completely unfinished. It was literally one of those dark spaces that you see in horror movies and are terrified of getting locked into. However, with the square footage in this house, I knew I needed to make the basement another workable and liveable floor of the house instead […]
The time has come to finally share our new kitchen reveal. For those of you that have been with us from the beginning, we bought a house right before the pandemic hit. It was a total gut job from top to bottom. We started our demo and then the world shut down. Enter the delays […]
Picking out paint colors for a new home can be overwhelming. I find that many times when I meet with a new client the entire house is simply just painted white or a light gray. Now, I think there is a time and place for those colors, but with paint, there is just so much […]
What to look for when it comes to picking out kitchen appliances: Leave room in your budget for appliances. When it comes to kitchen renovations everyone knows that the cabinetry and the labor of demoing and installing cabinetry is going to eat a lot of your budget. However, the second most expensive part of a […]
I don’t think I’m alone in thinking that designing a kitchen is an overwhelming undertaking. I’m an interior designer and even I find it stressful to iron out all of those details. So, when it comes time to design a kitchen I always like to partner with a kitchen designer to make sure I’m remembering […]
You’re so kind to ask me to join in on the fun. Let me see what I can drum up. These are always fun to read!
