Tossing around ideas
Since I wanted my blog to be about me trying to break into (and hopefully succeeding) the design world I decided that perhaps I should speak more about design in addition to posting about my normal everyday wants, likes, adventures and random babbling.
I figured in order to start off with a bang I would interview one of my favorite women in the design world. She is a huge source of inspiration for me. I would love to be her when I go up ( Too bad we are practically the same age so I better speed up) I’m going to be posting the interview tomorrow morning, but I wanted to give you a clue as to who it is. This lady goes banana’s over toss pillows. When I saw the latest product (featured below) that inspired this post I immediately thought of her.
Two of my greatest loves are handbags and fabric. I have quite the addiction to handbags. I would love to have my own room for them. Don’t worry hubby. They don’t break the bank as most of them are thrift store finds. I also have an office full of fabric, but I can’t even sew. Right now they are being utilized as a place to stack all of my ribbon. I’m waiting to have someone pity me and show me how to work my sewing machine.
1154 LILL matches up my two loves and makes me a happy lady. I first set my eyes on 1154 LILL during a trip to Boston to visit my sisters. We were walking down Newbury Street and during our window shopping spree I saw this store front:

The pillows also come without the ruffle, but who doesn’t love a ruffle.

My living room is one of the rooms that evolved drastically from when we first moved one. Originally I painted the walls chocolate brown and did accents of white, blue and orange. That lasted maybe 2 years.
Our dining room sat empty for months. Okay maybe it was empty for just a handful of weeks and then we couldn’t take it anymore and put in a folding table and plastic outdoor chairs, but in my mind that was still empty.
On the main floor of our house we have a Florida room. Being that it’s a Florida room it is a considered a 3 season room, because there is no heat in the room. The previous owners used it as an indoor patio with outdoor furniture and it looked like this when we moved in.
