It’s the little things

omg, i’m in love- orange is my favorite color and those are the most beautiful pieces of art ever! I need them now…too bad the BF would have a fit if he knew I spent that much on shoes 🙁

Anyway, its nice to dream. I hope your to-do list is getting shorter. Take one thing at a time, take deep breaths, and take breaks like this mini shopping spree every so often. Also, I find it helpful to just get outside sometimes and breath in the cold air, it gives me a burst of energy. Just remember, everything will pay off in the end 🙂

so fun!!! i regret I don’t wear heels as much as I used to… I want to because you better in heels, but I rarely do anymore. I might have to change that!

Have any recommendations for really comfy ones? (I’m more into wedges than heels because of comfort)

I love when there are patterns in areas where you don’t normally see them like on the soles of those fabulous orange shoes. I have a Pravina bag that has a really cool fabric on the lining and I love it!

    Lauren,

I love heels, but only really to look at them. I must admit that I live mostly in flats! I’ve recently started wearing heels to work, because I’m sitting alot of day and my feet can handle it.

I’ll let you know when I find a comfy heel.

My go-to heel is always a kitten heel, because I get a little height, but no pain.

  6. LindsB says:

Lauren and Camila, try the Cole Haan Nike Air line. best.heels.ever! I swear they are like wearing sneakers with heels. I could walk around the city all day in them and not be in pain at the end of the day. Keep an eye out for Nordstroms sales, they have the best prices, plus free shipping from the store if they dont have your size online…can you tell I’ve done that a few, ok many many times 🙂

I love that you referenced Blahnik and Weinrib in the same post.

  8. The Southern Lady says:

Hi there! I happened across your blog and love, love, love this post.

The orange is so sunny! It’s bright here, but so cold that those shoes are making me think of pool-side cocktails, cabana boys, and the summer of fun to come.

Thanks for the assitance in daydreaming.

ON THE BLOG

My living room is one of the rooms that evolved drastically from when we first moved one. Originally I painted the walls chocolate brown and did accents of white, blue and orange. That lasted maybe 2 years.

Our dining room sat empty for months. Okay maybe it was empty for just a handful of weeks and then we couldn’t take it anymore and put in a folding table and plastic outdoor chairs, but in my mind that was still empty.

On the main floor of our house we have a Florida room. Being that it’s a Florida room it is a considered a 3 season room, because there is no heat in the room. The previous owners used it as an indoor patio with outdoor furniture and it looked like this when we moved in.

Fall is the perfect season to host an outdoor movie night in your backyard! It’s that time of year when outdoor furniture is still outside and it gets dark earlier than the summer which means your little kiddos can enjoy the movie night as well. It’s so nice to transform your backyard with cozy blankets, […]

round up of budget friendly bar carts

Can you believe it’s already November? Before we know it Thanks No. 1 Modern bar cart with patterned sides that looks great as is, but would also look amazing painted a pop of color! Plus it’s only $157. No. 2 This lucite bar cart is a personal favorite of mine. Look at those chic lines! […]

For the longest time our backyard was mainly just grass and a little small area where we laid down some pavers so that we could set out a little plastic table/chairs during the summer. Not exactly ideal for entertaining. For the past couple of years we have wanted to build a deck and enjoy the […]
