There are many designers in the Interior Design world that I admire. However, my main source of inspiration and who’s high-heels I would love to follow is none other than Kate Spade.
In my eyes she can do no wrong. Her use of color and her sense of style is untouchable. I love how she can mix a classic design with a dose of modern full of texture, pattern and color that comes off effortless and elegant. Not only do I vie for all of her handbags, clothing, shoes, jewelry, but also for her personal home decor which also translates into her amazing store design.
Enter Kate’s 5th Ave store:
I can’t describe how much I love those stripes. I love the clean, fresh look of this store and would love to use it as inspiration for a hip, young working women’s home. *Liz I mean you! You must email me so we can discuss your new apt!
Love the pop of orange and of course you always need a bit of zebra!
Close up of the orange wall. Love the pop of blue! The books in the desk look like they were all wrapped in paper to look uniform. Love that and thinking of doing it in my living room.
You can also take a sneak peek into the dressing room and that fab wallpaper. Ask me two years ago if I would ever want wallpaper in my home and the answer would have been a big fat NO, but now I would paper my whole house. There are so many amazing options out there.
Here is the other side of the wall with a different shade of blue. Of course the gallery wall is one of my favorites. I love the different frames used and the variety in the artwork. Plus the manniquins in front are rocking that striped skirt I’m lusting after!
I’m going to have to make a trip into the city to see it all in person and hopefully pick something up for myself. Sadly even though I love Kate I’ve never picked up anything there for myself. I was able to get my hands on some Kate in my china cabinet pick. Yay for weddings!
Oh how I love me some Kate Spade! I have a few of her handbags–which are my pride and joy–and I just covet EVERYTHING she does. Thanks for posting these pics–this space is amazing. I wish I could see it in person–maybe someday!
I love that Kate made accessories easy and elegant. There is an element of more fun in everything which whisks me off to a place of good humor, happy days, and best manners. pve
It’s so cool that her store is so Kate Spade (of course) it’s just interesting to see how her designs of stuff translates so well in the interior of the store too!
I too love Kate Spade – everything is very clean and crisp, makes you feel good! Great post (and I managed to sneak in some Kate Spade with my wedding too – lots of crystal and stemware from her!)
Oh my gosh, I love that blue wall with all the photos arranged on it. I am dying to do that to some of my (empty) walls…using that as inspiration! Also, her new ad campaign (from this year) is beautiful & brilliant!

My living room is one of the rooms that evolved drastically from when we first moved one. Originally I painted the walls chocolate brown and did accents of white, blue and orange. That lasted maybe 2 years.
Our dining room sat empty for months. Okay maybe it was empty for just a handful of weeks and then we couldn’t take it anymore and put in a folding table and plastic outdoor chairs, but in my mind that was still empty.
On the main floor of our house we have a Florida room. Being that it’s a Florida room it is a considered a 3 season room, because there is no heat in the room. The previous owners used it as an indoor patio with outdoor furniture and it looked like this when we moved in.
In our new home, the basement was completely unfinished. It was literally one of those dark spaces that you see in horror movies and are terrified of getting locked into. However, with the square footage in this house, I knew I needed to make the basement another workable and liveable floor of the house instead […]
The time has come to finally share our new kitchen reveal. For those of you that have been with us from the beginning, we bought a house right before the pandemic hit. It was a total gut job from top to bottom. We started our demo and then the world shut down. Enter the delays […]
Picking out paint colors for a new home can be overwhelming. I find that many times when I meet with a new client the entire house is simply just painted white or a light gray. Now, I think there is a time and place for those colors, but with paint, there is just so much […]
What to look for when it comes to picking out kitchen appliances: Leave room in your budget for appliances. When it comes to kitchen renovations everyone knows that the cabinetry and the labor of demoing and installing cabinetry is going to eat a lot of your budget. However, the second most expensive part of a […]
I don’t think I’m alone in thinking that designing a kitchen is an overwhelming undertaking. I’m an interior designer and even I find it stressful to iron out all of those details. So, when it comes time to design a kitchen I always like to partner with a kitchen designer to make sure I’m remembering […]

I love Kate Spade. She is my hero.
I love Kate Spade. This store is adorable.
BTW, saw the cutest pair of Kate Spade shoes last weekend at TJ Maxx (here in Alabama)!!
I just love these images! I became her facebook fan, just because I love these photos so much! Her window display is just as phenomenal.

Ugh – all of these spaces are so neat. How awesome would it be to work there?
Oh, both her and her designs are really flawless! I was just in her Chicago store a couple weeks ago and felt the exact same way!
love the style of the store, but…i don’t think kate spade is actually running things anymore.
