Hello Loves,

It’s Sunday night and I’m finally relaxing in bed! I hope all you had a fabulous Mother’s day! Since I did end up going to the Domino sale this weekend I figured you would all like a recap!

Here goes:

Friday night: Me and hubby went to the city and spent the night with my sister in her apt in Chelsea (super close to the Domino sale) We had a very entertaining dinner with some colorful fellow diners and ended the night at Pinkberry! Yum.

Saturday: Woke up super early (ok it was only 7:15, but it early enough for me). I’m doing WW to lose those stubborn 10 pounds all girls complain about it so I dragged my sister and hubby to a location near her to do my weekly weigh in. Down another two which it makes a total of 7 lbs woo hoo!

Updating twitter:

Stopped for breakfast at a deli, because Sissy and hubby think we are way too early. We stay and eat there. Huge mistake! We arrive at 9:15 and the line is almost down the block!

I’m pretty sure I saw a fellow blogger team there, but not 100 percent sure. Let’s see if they blog about the sale and then I’ll be certain and share who I saw.

Here are hubby and sissy not too happy that we have to wait on huge line. I just give them a big, “ I told you so”, because I wanted to walk and eat our breakfast and get there sooner!

At around 9:45 someone from the sale came out to tell us all about the sale. We were told that downstairs items were from $10-$300 and then upstairs was $400 and up. They were going to let in 20 downstairs and 30 upstairs at a time. He also told us not to horde any items, because they wanted everyone to get a piece.

So we wait on this line for 2 hours! I was getting really cranky especially after hearing person after person say that it wasn’t too great. Ah, but at least we were all thinking we would get to see a really cool apt.

We got in at 11:30 and it was HORRIBLE! I was so mad that I wasted my entire morning there! Really it was garbage. Some people came out with a couple of cute things, but nothing out of this world. It was a basement that wasn’t even finished and the apartment section was completely bare. The prices were sky high as well. There were a couple of rolls of fabric at good prices, but they were all basically solid colors nothing Domino like. I would be surprise to see any blogger give this sale a good review.

It wasn’t even worth it to take the camera out, but at the last second I snapped two shots:

The only icing on the cake was my walk back to my sisters apartment we made a pit stop at Union Square’s farmers market and I got a delish Oatmeal Chocolate Chip cookie to drown my sorrows!

The day got more exciting from there, because after we arrived home we headed out to a friends house. They just got married in Oct and moved in to their new home around the same time.

We went over, toured the house, did some home improvement projects, made dinner and I even got myself some work helping them with the decor!

Sunday: Mother’s Day and my Birthday! 28 years ago I was born and that year it ended up falling on Mother’s day as well. My hubby and two sisters took part in planning a lovely brunch for me, my mom and my MIL. It was a great time full of great food, amazing people and fab gifts of course!

My sisters even went out and got me  a cool Lucite bangle, because they knew it was one of my must-have items that I was looking for at the Domino sale.

Now onto what Jon got me this year. This man was very good to his blogger wife and got her this:

It’s called a netbook aka a mini laptop and I’m in heaven. It has Wi-fi and fits into my purse. I can blog on the go!

Tomorrow I’m having a fun-filled day with my mom in order to continue my birthday celebration. We are off to the Spa, lunch and then a little shopping.
