HOW-TO-MAKE-AN-EASY-DIY-OUTDOOR-MOVIE-SCREEN-WITH-STAND

Fall is the perfect season to host an outdoor movie night in your backyard! It’s that time of year when outdoor furniture is still outside and it gets dark earlier than the summer which means your little kiddos can enjoy the movie night as well. It’s so nice to transform your backyard with cozy blankets, […]

round up of budget friendly bar carts

Can you believe it’s already November? Before we know it Thanks No. 1 Modern bar cart with patterned sides that looks great as is, but would also look amazing painted a pop of color! Plus it’s only $157. No. 2 This lucite bar cart is a personal favorite of mine. Look at those chic lines! […]

For the longest time our backyard was mainly just grass and a little small area where we laid down some pavers so that we could set out a little plastic table/chairs during the summer. Not exactly ideal for entertaining. For the past couple of years we have wanted to build a deck and enjoy the […]

Yesterday was a day packed full of work. Since I’m leaving on vacation this coming Friday I’ve been busy making sure all my client work is under control. I worked till around 9pm last night, but my saving grace was knowing that when I finished I could rip open my latest issue of Southern Living. […]

Last week Meg from Pigtown Design put a little teaser on her blog. She had found a decorators slice of heaven in her home town. A massive warehouse full of designer fabrics many running as little as $10 a yard!   Here was one of her teaser pics!   I was dying to know where […]

SOS: Readers I need your help!

For Christmas I gifted one of my sisters with a copy of (500) Days of Summer. 10% of my reasoning behind it was that I thought she would enjoy it and the other 90% was purely selfish, because I was dying to see it!   I don’t want to give too much away for […]

(500) Days of Summer: Summer’s apt

I love a good stripe and tend to use them a lot in my decorating, but most times I only keep it to one thing in the room whether it be a wall treatment, window panel or toss pillow, etc.   I would have thought that multiple stripes in different directions would have driven me […]

Case of the stripes…

Last week I popped into TJ MAXX to search for some client items. I always find a good accessory or two there and normally I find something that I want for myself.   How chic are these trays! I wanted to snag them up right away, but at the moment they aren’t good for any […]

Double Take: JA Butler Tray Table

Over the weekend I had the opportunity to swing into the city and visit with my sisters.   My youngest sister, Danay moved into the Upper East Side a couple of months ago so we decided to hit up the thrift stores near her.   I must say that I wasn’t that impressed. I do […]

Do we still love it? : Foo Dogs

There is one room in my house that I’m rarely allowed to touch. It’s known as Jon’s man/cave/den etc. He should pretty much put a NO GIRLS ALLOWED sign on the door.   I’m use to walking in and seeing this: {This is a closet directly under our stairs notice how instead of having a […]

ON THE BLOG

My living room is one of the rooms that evolved drastically from when we first moved one. Originally I painted the walls chocolate brown and did accents of white, blue and orange. That lasted maybe 2 years.

Our dining room sat empty for months. Okay maybe it was empty for just a handful of weeks and then we couldn’t take it anymore and put in a folding table and plastic outdoor chairs, but in my mind that was still empty.

On the main floor of our house we have a Florida room. Being that it’s a Florida room it is a considered a 3 season room, because there is no heat in the room. The previous owners used it as an indoor patio with outdoor furniture and it looked like this when we moved in.
